''1019'' is the debut studio album by Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai. It was released on September 10, 1999, by Universal and D Sound. Produced by David Wu, Peter Lee, and Paul Lee, it incorporated genres of pop, hip-hop, R&B, and world music to showcase Tsai's musical talent and versatility. It was well received by music critics, who commented that the girlish sentiment exuded from the album filled the vacancy of the girl-next-door singer in the Taiwan music scene at the time, Tsai's idol vibe and strength combined with the excellent production made her become an instant hit. The album sold more than 450,000 copies in Taiwan. ''White Light'', aka ''Gene Clark'', is the second solo album by Gene Clark, former member of The Byrds. It only achieved commercial success in the Netherlands, where rock critics also voted it album of the year. Like all of his post-Byrds records, it did very poorly on the US charts. In June 2018, independent reissue label Intervention Records released ''White Light'' on vinyl and as a hybrid CD/SACD. Background Clark's backing band on the album included producer and guitarist Jesse Edwin Davis, bassist Chris Ethridge of the Flying Burrito Brothers, organist Michael Utley, along with pianist Ben Sidran and drummer Gary Mallaber, both of the Steve Miller Band. Although Clark began another album for A&M, the label stopped the sessions before that album was completed. Peter René Baumann (born 5 January 1968), better known under his stage name DJ BoBo, is a Swiss singer-songwriter, rapper, dancer, and music producer. Written by Esmonde and Larbey and set in south London, it depicted the (mostly) amorous adventures of a wisecracking house painter, Jacko (Karl Howman). Premise Jacko (Karl Howman) works as a house painter alongside his brother-in-law, Eric (Mike Walling), who was married to Jacko's sister Jean ( Nicky Croydon).
