Rajkumari Dubey (1924 – 2000), better known by her first name, Rajkumari, was an Indian playback singer who worked in Hindi cinema of 1930s and 1940s. Best known for her songs, "Sun Bairi Baalam Sach Bol Re" in ''Bawre Nain'' (1950), "Ghabaraa Ke Jo Hum Sar Ko Takraayan" in '' Mahal'' (1949) and "Najariya Ki Maari" in ''Pakeezah'' (1972). Biography She had much softer and sweeter voice with a narrow range than the leading singers of the time, Zohrabai Ambalewali, Amirbai Karnataki and Shamshad Begum. In the next two decades she sang for 100 films, till the early 1950s, when Lata Mangeshkar changed the playback-singing scene in India. Rajkumari Haksar, (1928–2014) also known as Rajkumari Kaul, was an Indian personality. About Born Rajkumari Haksar, Mrs. Kaul was a blood relation of Indira Gandhi, and a 'household member' of Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's family and the mother of Vajpayee's adopted daughter Namita. Dame Rajkumari Bibiji Amrit Kaur ('' née'' Ahluwalia) DStJ (2 February 1887 – 6 February 1964) was an Indian activist and politician. Following her long-lasting association with the Indian independence movement, she was appointed the first Health Minister of India in 1947 and remained in office until 1957. She also held the charge of Sports Minister and Urban Development Minister and was instrumental in setting up the National Institute of Sports, Patiala. Rajkumari Banerji or Rajkumari Devi (1847 — March 8, 1876) was an Indian social worker and Bengali philanthropist. She was said to be the first Indian woman to visit England in 1871. Family In 1860, Banerji married Sasipada Banerji, a social worker when she was a thirteen-year-old girl. Sasipada taught her to read and write within a year. Her son, Albion Rajkumar Banerji, went on to become a member of the Indian Civil Service and served as Diwan of Cochin.
