Tommaso Raggio
Tommaso Raggio ( lat, Thomas Razzius) (1531–1599) was a 16th century Jesuit missionary. Raggio joined Jesuit order in 1557 in Loreto. Raggio was Catholic missionary in Kotor in 1574–75. Raggio was a poliglot who knew six foreign languages, including Croatian. According to Miroslav Vanino, Raggio learned Croatian language in Kotor so he later worked for the benefit of Croats and other Balkan people. Raggio emphasized that Jesuit presence in Kotor is very important because Kotor was very near Serbia while Kotor Bay goes deep into the territory populated with Orthodox people. In 1577 Raggio was one of two Jesuit envoys sent by Pope to Maronite patriarch. In 1582 Raggio became a rector of Illyrian College in Loreto. Giuseppe Raggio
Giuseppe Raggio (1823–1916) was an Italian painter. Life and career He was born in Chiavari, and while his father wished him to join the merchant marine, by 1845 he had decided to study painting, and participated in his first exhibition in Genoa. He enrolled in the Accademia di Belle Arti of Florence, where he studied under the neoclassical painter Giuseppe Bezzuoli. By 1846, he became friends with Giovanni Fattori and painters of the Macchiaioli movement who frequented the Caffè Michelangiolo. In 1848, amid the revolutionary turmoil, Raggio moved to Rome. In Rome, he met the painter of agrarian subjects, Nino Costa. While he continued to paint some religious subjects such as a ''Holy Family'' (1854, Genoa) and a ''Samaritan'' (1862), Raggio by 1860 favored scenes of cattle farming in the Lazio countryside sa subject matter for his paintings. Louise Raggio (June 15, 1919 – January 23, 2011) was a Texas lawyer for more than fifty years. She was the first female prosecutor in Dallas County, Texas. She spearheaded a coalition to establish the Marital Property Act of 1967 (which went into effect on January 1, 1968🖉), and the Texas Family Code. Early life Louise Hilma Ballerstedt was born into a German immigrant family on June 15, 1919 at her grandmother's home in Austin, Texas. She attended the University of Texas, where she earned her bachelor's degree summa cum laude in 1939. She married Grier Raggio, who was then a government lawyer, in 1941. Grier Raggio is an American attorney and politician. He was a Democratic candidate in the 2010 election for the United States House of Representatives seat in Texas's 32nd congressional district. William Raggio (October 30, 1926 – February 23, 2012) was an American politician and a former Republican Party (United States), Republican member of the Nevada Senate. He represented Washoe County's 3rd district from 1972 until his retirement in 2011. He is the longest-serving member in the history of the State Senate. Olga Raggio (5 February 1926 – 24 January 2009) was an art historian and curator who worked with the Metropolitan Museum of Art for over 60 years, and discovered the 'lost' bust of Cosimo I de' Medici by Bartolommeo Bandinelli. Silvano Raggio Garibaldi (born 27 April 1989) is an Italian footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Sestri Levante. Born in Chiavari, he has represented Italy at Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20 levels. Club career Raggio Garibaldi made his Serie A debut on 14 April 2008 in a 3–0 home win for his side against Torino. He spent the 2008–09 season on loan to Serie B side Pisa.
