Rafał Augustyniak
Rafał Augustyniak (born 14 October 1993) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Ekstraklasa club Legia Warsaw. Club career In 2018, he signed for Miedź Legnica. On 21 June 2019, he signed with the Russian Premier League club FC Ural Yekaterinburg. Augustyniak left Ural on 31 May 2022 as his contract expired. On 30 July 2022, he returned to Polish Ekstraklasa, signing a three-year deal with Legia Warsaw. International career Rafał was called up for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification (UEFA) matches against Hungary, Andorra and England. He made his debut for Poland against England on 31 March 2021, coming in as a substitute. FC Ural Yekaterinburg (russian: ФК Урал) is a Russian association football club based in Yekaterinburg. They play in the Russian Premier League. History The club was founded in 1930 and was known as Avangard (1930–1948, 1953–1957), Zenit (1944–1946), Mashinostroitel (1958–1959), and Uralmash (1949–1952, 1960–2002). The 2015–16 Ekstraklasa was the 82nd season of the highest level of football leagues in Poland since its establishment in 1927. A total of 16 teams were participating, 14 of which competed in the league during the 2014–15 season, while the remaining two were promoted from the I Liga. Each team played a total of 37 matches, half at home and half away. Lech Poznań were the defending champions, having won their 7th title last season. I liga ( pl, Pierwsza liga, ), currently named Fortuna I liga due to its sponsorship by Fortuna, is the men's second professional association football division of the Polish football league system, below the Ekstraklasa and above the II liga via promotion/relegation systems. II liga (Druga Liga, ), currently named eWinner II liga due to sponsorship reasons by eWinner, is a Polish football league that sits at the third tier of the Polish football league system. Until the end of the 2007–08 season ''II Liga'' referred to a league at the 2nd tier, although this changed with the formation of the Ekstraklasa as the top level league in Poland. Currently, II liga is below I liga and above III liga. Since the 2014/15 season there is one group making up the II Liga unlike in previous seasons when there were two groups (''West'' and ''East'').
