Rafael Bolaños
The Rafael Bolaños Stadium is a private multi use stadium located in El Coyol, in the outskirts of the city of Alajuela, Costa Rica. It was inaugurated in 2003 and in 2017 it received an overhaul in the infrastructure. Is part of the Wilmer López Sport Complex. The stadium is used by A.D. Carmelita for his home games in the Liga FDP History When the Wilmer López Sport Complex was built, they had in thought building a place different than the other ones already existing. It was built in mind of people enjoying the place and practicing sports, especially soccer (or football as is it called in Costa Rica). That's why it was built, taking the name of one of the most iconic soccer player that had ever played for the local team Liga Deportiva Alajuelense. Alajuela Canton
Alajuela is a canton in the Alajuela province of Costa Rica. Its head city is the provincial capital city of Alajuela. History Alajuela was created on 7 December 1848 by decree 167. Geography Alajuela has an area of km² and a mean elevation of metres. Northward from the city of Alajuela, the canton continues along the border with the province of Heredia to its east, encompassing a strip of the Cordillera Central (Central Mountain Range) between Poas Volcano and Barva Volcano. Alajuela () is a district in the Alajuela canton of the Alajuela Province of Costa Rica. As the seat of the Municipality of Alajuela canton, it is awarded the status of city. By virtue of being the city of the first canton of the province, it is also the capital of the Province of Alajuela. Wilmer López Arguedas (born 3 August 1971) is a retired Costa Rican footballer. He played for Alajuelense and is one of the club's biggest idols of all time. Liga FPD
The Primera División of Costa Rica, commonly known as Fútbol de Primera División (FPD), and Liga Promerica for sponsorship reasons, is the top professional association football division in Costa Rica. It is administered by the Unión de Clubes de Fútbol de la Primera División (UNAFUT). The league consists of 12 teams, with the last-placed team relegated to the Liga de Ascenso. Liga Deportiva Alajuelense (LDA, ), commonly known as Alajuelense and nicknamed La Liga (), is a Costa Rican multisport club based in the borough of El Llano, Alajuela, Alajuela province.
