Radikal Ungdom
The Danish Social Liberal Youth (Danish: Radikal Ungdom, literally ''Radical Youth'', abbreviated RU), is a political youth organization in Denmark, built around the ideals of social liberalism. ''Radical'' indicates a connection to 19th and 20th century radicalism, a connection shared with the organisation's mother party, the Danish Social Liberal Party. The current organization was founded on April 30, 1994 under the name Radikal Ungdom of 1994, after the former youth organization Radikal Ungdom was dissolved due to widespread fraud with funding from the Danish Youth Council. The organization bore the name Radikal Ungdom of 1994, until it was changed back to Radikal Ungdom at the organisation's national congress in 2015. The original organisation was founded in Copenhagen in 1904 and merged into a larger national organization founded in 1911. Islands Brygge
Islands Brygge (English: Iceland's Quay) is a harbourfront area in central Copenhagen, Denmark, located on the north-western coast of Amager. The neighbourhood is noted for its waterfront park Havneparken, which is one of the most popular areas along the Copenhagen harbourfront and the location of one of the Copenhagen Harbour Baths. Established through a series of land reclamations from the 1880s, it served both military, residential, industrial and dockland purposes. Simon Emil Ammitzbøll-Bille
Simon Emil Ammitzbøll-Bille (born 20 October 1977, in Hillerød) is a former Danish politician, and a former independent member of the Parliament of Denmark. He is former Minister of Economy and Interior. He was formerly a member of Radikale Venstre and Liberal Alliance. Political career On 10 October 2008 he and a number of followers founded the party '' Borgerligt Centrum'' ( en, Civic Centre). On 13 October 2008 he left the Social Liberal Party, which he had represented in parliament since the 2005 elections. On 6 January 2009 the incorporation of Borgerligt Centrum was announced. Zenia Stampe Lyngbo (born 30 March 1979 in Roskilde) is a Danish politician, who is a member of the Folketing for the Social Liberal Party. She was elected into parliament at the 2011 Danish general election. Background Stampe graduated from Copenhagen University with an MSc in political science in 2008. The International Federation of Liberal Youth (IFLRY) is an international liberal youth organization. It consists of a global membership of national youth organizations. These are often but not exclusively affiliated with political parties that are members of Liberal International. IFLRY holds full member status to Liberal International and the European Youth Forum ( YFJ), which operates within the Council of Europe and European Union areas and works closely with both these bodies.
