RoHS
The Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS 1), short for Directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, was adopted in February 2003 by the European Union. The initiative was to prevent an overabundance of chemicals in electronics. Thus, as a result electronics were restricted. The RoHS 1 directive took effect on 1 July 2006, and is required to be enforced and became a law in each member state. This directive restricts (with exceptions) the use of ten hazardous materials in the manufacture of various types of electronic and electrical equipment. In addition to the exceptions, there are exclusions for products such as solar panels. Red Oak High School is a 5A high school located in Red Oak, Texas, United States. It is part of the Red Oak Independent School District located in far north central Ellis County. In 2012, the school was rated "Academically Acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency. The Red Oak ISD has recently built a new facility for the school, located west and across the street from the current school. The new school also connects to nearby Texas State Highway 342, the main north-south highway through Red Oak. Royal Oak High School
Royal Oak High School (ROHS) is a secondary educational facility located in Royal Oak, Michigan in Greater Detroit. The current principal is Sharida Lewis. It is a part of Royal Oak Neighborhood Schools. History ROHS is a 2006 consolidation of former intra-city rivals Dondero High School, Royal Oak George A. Dondero High School and Royal Oak Clarence M. Kimball High School. This educational facility draws its name from the original Royal Oak High School (later Clara Barton Junior High), which opened in 1914, and its successor, the "new" Royal Oak High School, which opened in 1927. After the opening of a second high school facility within the Royal Oak school system in 1957, the then "Royal Oak High School" changed its name to "George A. Dondero High School". Its counterpart was named "Clarence M. Kimball High School". At their peak, both institutions had an enrollment of over 2,000 students.
