RMAC Men's Basketball Shootout
The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Tournament is the annual conference basketball championship tournament for the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The tournament has been held every year since 1993, when the RMAC became an NCAA Division II conference. It is a single-elimination tournament and seeding is based on regular season records. The winner, declared conference champion, receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Men's Division II Basketball Championship. Tournament format Since its foundation in 1993, the tournament has featured only the top 8 teams from the conference playing in a single-elimination style tournament. The first rounds are always played at the gym of the higher-seeded team while the semifinal and championship rounds are played at a pre-determined site, usually on the campus of one of the RMAC members. The Colorado State University Pueblo ThunderWolves (shortened to CSU Pueblo ThunderWolves in their athletics context) are the athletic teams at Colorado State University Pueblo. The ThunderWolves are a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. They were previously known as the University of Southern Colorado Indians and then the University of Southern Colorado ThunderWolves. Brandon Jefferson (born 25 November 1991) is an American professional basketball player for Tianjin Pioneers of the Chinese Basketball Association. The Colorado School of Mines Orediggers (also Mines Orediggers) are the athletic teams that represent the Colorado School of Mines, located in Golden, Colorado, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. The New Mexico Highlands Cowboys and Cowgirls are the athletic teams that represent New Mexico Highlands University, located in Las Vegas, New Mexico, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. Jesse Kendall James Wagstaff (born 30 April 1986) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Perth Wildcats of the National Basketball League (NBL). Massari Arena
Massari Arena is a 3,900 seat multi-purpose arena in Pueblo, Colorado. It was built in 1971, and underwent a reconstruction starting in 2006 and ending in 2008. The arena is the home of the Colorado State University Pueblo ThunderWolves men's and women's basketball, wrestling, and volleyball programs. The arena is named for Colorado State Senator Vincent Massari who led the college's push to become a four-year university. Senator Massari was instrumental in obtaining funds for a new campus in the Belmont area of Pueblo, moving from the old junior college campus on Orman Avenue.
