Founded in 1973 as Unió Esportiva Bellvitge, it changed its name to the current one in 1984. The club has won the Spanish women's rugby championship three times. History The club was founded in 1973. Home ground RC L'Hospitalet plays its games at the Municipal Rugby Field, which is part of the Feixa Llarga sports complex, in Bellvitge, a complex where there are also other facilities such as the Municipal Football Stadium or the Municipal Baseball Field. L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (; es, Hospitalet de Llobregat), often shortened to L'Hospitalet or just L'H, is a municipality of Spain, located to the immediate southwest of Barcelona, in the autonomous community of Catalonia. The 2014–15 División de Honor B, the XVII edition, began on September 13, 2014 with the first matchday of regular season and finished on May 23, 2015 with the Promotion playoffs final. For 2014–15 season, the championship expands to 3 groups of 10/12 teams each. Alcobendas Rugby won the promotion playoff to Sant Cugat 18–13 and returned to División de Honor three years after of relegation. División De Honor De Rugby
The División de Honor de Rugby is Spain's top level professional men's rugby union competition. The División de Honor de Rugby Championship is organised by the Federación Española de Rugby ( Spanish Rugby Federation) and currently consists of 12 teams. The last-placed team in the competition is relegated at the end of the season to the División de Honor B, Spain`s second level of men's rugby union. The team finishing 11th enters a relegation/promotion playoff with the runner-up from the Division de Honor B playoffs.
