R.L. Kelly
R.L. Kelly (born Rachel Levy) is an American electropop musician from Los Angeles, California. Career Levy began her career in February 2013, releasing her first EP titled ''Life's A Bummer''. In September 2013, Levy released a 7" split with Alex G via Birdtapes. In late 2014, she released a split with musician Spencer Radcliffe, titled ''Brown Horse''. Levy additionally released a standalone digital single later that year titled "Alright". In March of 2019, Levy released ''Blink 183'', a two-song EP on Bandcamp, as well as ''The Back Catalogue, Vol. 421'', a cassette tape which compiles RL tracks from over the years. In September 2022, Levy changed from the "unfortunate jokey name" R.L. Kelly to simply ''RL''. In September of that year, she released the EP ''Be True'' via Lauren Tapes, which includes a new version of her song "Feels Real" as well as three new tracks. Orchid Tapes
Orchid Tapes is a Canadian–American independent record label based in New York City. It was founded in 2010 in Toronto, Ontario by Warren Hildebrand. Operated by Hildebrand, the label has released a number of indie compilations and original releases on cassette tape, limited edition vinyl, and digital download. Among Orchid Tapes' signed artists are Coma Cinema, Foxes in Fiction, and Alex G. The label focuses on "music and artwork that breaks free of the established norm...reflects the dedication of its creator and provokes a strong emotional resonance..." Lauren Records is an American independent record label founded in Southern California in 2011. The label mostly specializes in indie rock, emo, and other melodic punk rock adjacent genres. History After a few years booking shows and tours for local bands, Lauren Records was formed. The first release was a compilation LP called ''I Think We Should Stay Away From Each Other'' featuring groups like AJJ, Japanther and Joyce Manor. Alexander Giannascoli (born February 3, 1993), better known by his stage names Alex G or, formerly, (Sandy) Alex G, is an American musician, producer, and singer-songwriter. He started his career with DIY self-releases on Bandcamp and began building up an audience with his label debut, '' DSU'' (2014), released on Orchid Tapes to critical acclaim from various publications. He later signed with Lucky Number, who reissued his earlier releases, ''Rules'' and ''Trick'' (2012). Spencer Radcliffe is an American singer-songwriter, musician, and producer who has also composed instrumental music under the name Blithe Field. Career Radcliffe began releasing music in 2008 under the name Blithe Field, self-releasing an album, ''Old Songs/New Songs''.
