R. Radhakrishnan (politician)
R Radhakrishnan (born 9 June 1971) is an Indian member of parliament (MP) and former speaker of the Union Territory of Puducherry assembly from 2006 to 2011. He is a member of the All India N R Congress (AINRC) and represents Puducherry constituency in the Lok Sabha from 2014 to 2019. Family and education R Radhakrishnan hails from a family with political lineage. He is the elder son of politician R. Ramanathan (former member of Puducherry legislative assembly). R Radhakrishnan completed his High school at ARLM Matriculation school, Cuddalore & Higher secondary Education at Campion Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary school. Under graduation in Commerce from Vivekananda College, Chennai. Kancheepuram District
Kancheepuram district is one of the 38 districts in the state of Tamil Nadu in India. The area comprising the present day Kancheepuram district was earlier a part of Chingleput district. The original Chingleput district was split in 1997 into form the present day Kancheepuram and Tiruvallur districts. On 18 July 2019, Chengalpattu district was carved out of Kanchipuram district, with suburbs from Chengalpet towards Chennai under the district headquarters in Chengalpet. The separation came into effect from 29 November which was done by Chief Minister Mr. Edappadi K Palaniswami. Geography Kancheepuram district is situated on the North Eastern part of Tamil Nadu. Slum clearance in India is used as an urban renewal approach to redevelop and transform poor and low income settlements into new developments or housing. Millions of people live in slum dwellings across India and many migrate to live in the slums from rural villages, often in search of work opportunities. Houses are typically built by the slum dwellers themselves and violence has been known to occur when developers attempt to clear the land of slum dwellings. Reasons for wanting to clear slums vary, although land value when sold to developers is higher due to the communities that had settled and built their own homes. Lok Sabha
The Lok Sabha, constitutionally the House of the People, is the lower house of India's bicameral Parliament, with the upper house being the Rajya Sabha. Members of the Lok Sabha are elected by an adult universal suffrage and a first-past-the-post system to represent their respective constituencies, and they hold their seats for five years or until the body is dissolved by the President on the advice of the council of ministers. The house meets in the Lok Sabha Chambers of the Sansad Bhavan, New Delhi. The maximum membership of the House allotted by the Constitution of India is 552 (Initially, in 1950, it was 500).
