Ramakrishna Mission Sri Koneswara Hindu College (also known as Trincomalee Hindu College or Trinco Hindu College) is a national school in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka. History The school was founded in 1897 by leading Hindus. It was administered by a Board of Management. It became a government primary school in 1922. The Board of Management handed the school over to the Ramakrishna Mission on 1 June 1925. Swami Vipulananda administered the school on behalf of the mission. The school obtained senior secondary status in 1932. The school was forced to move to temporary premises during World War II, but moved back to its original premises in 1945. The school became a Grade One school in 1952. Since its foundation, the school had functioned with two separate divisions: Hindu Boys Tamil School and Hindu Boys English School. Seelan
Charles Lucas Anthony ( ta, சாள்ஸ் லூக்காஸ் அன்ரனி; 11 December 1960 – 15 July 1983; commonly known by the nom de guerre Seelan) was a Sri Lankan Tamil rebel and leading member of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), a separatist Tamil militant organisation in Sri Lanka. Swami Vipulananda ( ta, சுவாமி விபுலாநந்தர்) (27 March 1892 – 20 July 1947), also known as Vipulananda Adigal, was a Sri Lankan Tamil Hindu social reformer, literary critic, author, poet, teacher and ascetic from the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka. Vipulananda was an early pioneer associated with the Indian-based Ramakrishna Mission in Sri Lanka. Ramakrishna Mission (RKM) is a Hindu religious and spiritual organisation which forms the core of a worldwide spiritual movement known as the ''Ramakrishna Movement'' or the ''Vedanta Movement''.
