Wavre Sports FC is a Belgian association football club located in the municipality of Wavre, Walloon Brabant. It was founded in Jette, Brussels in 1944 as Racing Club Jette, and registered with the Belgian Football Association the following year under the matriculation n°4549. It merged in 1970 with Royal Stade de Bruxelles to become Racing Jet de Bruxelles. In 1988 the club moved to Wavre and became Racing Jet Wavre, finally changing its name to Wavre Sports FC following the 2017–18 season. Belgian Second Division Final Round
The Belgian Second Division play-offs were a series of playoff matches to decide promotion to the Belgian Pro League, organised between 1974 and 2015. Following a large reform of the Belgian football league system at the end of the 2015–16 season, the play-offs were no longer held. In the earlier years these play-offs were contested by teams of the Belgian Second Division but since 2009 also a team from the Belgian Pro League took part. The Belgian Division 3, commonly referred to as simply Derde Afdeling (in Dutch) or Division 3 (in French) is the fifth-highest division in the Belgian football league system, one level below the Belgian Division 2. The Belgian Third Division ( nl, Derde klasse, french: Division III) was the third highest level in Football in Belgium, Belgian football. It had two leagues of 18 teams each (Belgian Third Division A, A and Belgian Third Division B, B) at the same level. Wavre (; nl, Waver, ; wa, Wåve) is a City status in Belgium, city and Municipalities in Belgium, municipality of Wallonia, capital of the Provinces of Belgium, province of Walloon Brabant, Belgium.
