R. J. Alvarez
Roy Emilio Alvarez (born June 8, 1991) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the San Diego Padres, Oakland Athletics and New York Mets. Career Alvarez attended Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach, Florida, and Florida Atlantic University, where he played college baseball for the Florida Atlantic Owls. In 2010, he played collegiate summer baseball for the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod Baseball League, and was named an All-Star. After spending his freshman and sophomore season as a starting pitcher, he was moved to the bullpen before his junior season. Collegiate Summer Baseball
Collegiate summer baseball leagues are amateur baseball leagues in the United States and Canada featuring players who have attended at least one year of college and have at least one year of athletic eligibility remaining. Generally, they operate from early June to early August. In contrast to college baseball, which allow aluminum or other composite baseball bats, players in these leagues use only wooden bats, hence the common nickname of these leagues as "wood-bat leagues". Collegiate summer leagues allow college baseball players the ability to compete using professional rules and equipment, giving them experience and allowing professional scouts the opportunity to observe players under such conditions. Trevor Gott
Trevor Vaughan Gott (born August 26, 1992) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Washington Nationals, San Francisco Giants and Milwaukee Brewers. He played college baseball at the University of Kentucky, and was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the sixth round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft. He made his MLB debut in 2015. Huston Lowell Street ( ; born August 2, 1983) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played 13 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Oakland Athletics, Colorado Rockies, San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Angels. After a standout college baseball career for the Texas Longhorns, the Athletics drafted Street in the first round of the 2004 MLB draft. José Gregorio Rondón Hidalgo (born March 3, 1994) is a Venezuelan professional baseball infielder for the Toros de Tijuana of the Mexican League. The Arkansas Travelers, also known informally as The Travs, are a Minor League Baseball team based in North Little Rock, Arkansas. In baseball statistics, earned run average (ERA) is the average of earned runs allowed by a pitcher per nine innings pitched (i.e. the traditional length of a game).
