Quranic Inerrancy
Quranic inerrancy is a doctrine central to the Muslim faith that the Quran is the infallible and inerrant word of God as revealed to Muhammad by the archangel Gabriel in the 7th century CE. Modernist approach Influenced by Jamal al-Din al-Afghani's modernist interpretations, Muhammad Abduh, Grand Mufti of Egypt, revisited then contemporary Islamic thought with his ijtihad after 1899. In the '' Tafsir al-Manar'', published by Rashid Rida from notes taken on Abduh's lectures, he expressed that wherever the Quran seemed contradictory and irrational to logic and science must be understood as reflecting the Arab vision of the world, as written with available seventh century intellectual level of Arabs; all verses referring to superstitions like witchcraft and the evil eye be explained as expressions of then Arab beliefs; and miraculous events and deeds in Quran be rationally explained just as metaphors or allegories. Doctrine (from la, doctrina, meaning "teaching, instruction") is a codification of beliefs or a body of teachings or instructions, taught principles or positions, as the essence of teachings in a given branch of knowledge or in a belief system. The Arabic phrase ''Bila Kayf'', also pronounced as ''Bila Kayfa'', ( ar, بلا كيف) is roughly translated as "without asking how", "without knowing how or what", or "without modality" which means without considering how and without comparison. Early Quranic Manuscripts
In Muslim tradition the Quran is the final revelation from God, Islam's divine text, delivered to the Islamic prophet Muhammad through the angel Jibril (Gabriel). Muhammad's revelations were said to have been recorded orally and in writing, through Muhammad and his followers up until his death in 632 CE. Biblical Inerrancy
Biblical inerrancy is the belief that the Bible "is without error or fault in all its teaching"; or, at least, that "Scripture in the original manuscripts does not affirm anything that is contrary to fact". Some equate inerrancy with biblical infallibility; others do not. The belief in Biblical inerrancy is of particular significance within parts of evangelicalism, where it is formulated in the "Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy".
