Quizás (album)
''Quizás'' (English: ''Maybe'') is the sixth studio album and fourth full-Spanish-language album by Spanish singer-songwriter Enrique Iglesias. The album was released by Universal Music Latino on 17 September 2002. ''Quizás'' was Iglesias first album in Spanish in four years, his last being '' Cosas del Amor'' in 1998. This was also his last full-length Spanish album of his career as his next albums would be English and bilingual exclusively. The album has a fragile and delicate sound compared to his previous three Spanish albums, which were based on pop songs with light rock instrumentation and consists mainly of middle of the road Latin pop ballads. It is his most personal release to date as it deals with topics such as the strange relationship with his father, singer Julio Iglesias, and other personal dilemmas. Enrique Miguel Iglesias Preysler (; (born 8 May 1975) is a Spanish singer and songwriter. He started his recording career in the mid-1990s on the Mexican indie label Fonovisa and became the bestselling Spanish-language act of the decade. By the turn of the millennium, he made a successful crossover into the mainstream English-language market. He signed a multi-album deal with Universal Music Group for US$68 million with Universal Music Latin Entertainment, Universal Music Latino to release his Spanish albums and Interscope Records to release English albums. In 2010, Iglesias parted with Interscope Records and signed with another Universal Music Group label, Republic Records, to release bilingual albums. Latin Grammy Award For Best Male Pop Vocal Album
The Latin Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Album was an honor presented annually at the Latin Grammy Awards from 2001 to 2011. The award was given to a male performer for albums containing at least 51% of new recordings of the pop genre. Since its inception, the award category has had several name changes. In 2000 it was presented as Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. The following year onwards the award is known as Best Male Pop Vocal Album. Spanish artists have won the award more times than any other nationality, though award-winning albums have also been performed by musicians originating from Argentina, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Venezuela. The Federazione Industria Musicale Italiana (FIMI) is an umbrella organization that keeps track of virtually all aspects of the music recording industry in Italy. It was established in 1992, when major corporate labels left the previously existing Associazione dei Fonografici Italiani (AFI). Antonio Vega Tallés (a.k.a. Antonio Vega) (16 December 1957 – 12 May 2009) was a Spanish pop singer-songwriter. Biography He was born in Madrid. In a psychologist test he got 168 of intelligence quotient. He studied at the Liceo Francés de Madrid, where he acted for the first time at aged 14. Antonio Vega has been considered one of the fundamental composers of Spanish pop since the beginning of democracy. The intimacy of his songs and his sensitivity earned him admiration both from public and critics. He was addicted to drugs since the 80s, which over time ceased to be a secret from the public. On 20 April 2009 Antonio Vega was admitted to the Hospital Puerta de Hierro in Madrid with severe pneumonia that forced him to suspend his tour. 51-year old died on 12 May 2009, as a result of lung cancer that had been diagnosed 10 months earlier. Gerardo Horacio López von Linden (born 3 March 1956), known professionally as Cachorro López, is an Argentine record producer, musician and songwriter. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he enrolled in various musical ensembles, including Zas and Los Abuelos de la Nada.
