Quick 1888
Quick 1888 (also referred to as Quick Nijmegen) is an amateur sporting club from Nijmegen, Netherlands. It was founded in 1888 as a cricket club and currently plays football in the third amateur level. As a football club, Quick reached its moment of fame in 1949 when it won the Dutch Cup of which a replica is on display in the club house. Afterwards the club lost the final of the 1949 Dutch Supercup against Schiedamse Voetbal Vereniging. The club also has a badminton, athletics and a field hockey branch. Nijmegen (;; Spanish and it, Nimega. Hermanus Hendrikus "Henk" Steeman (15 January 1894 in Rotterdam – 16 February 1979 in the Hague) was a football (soccer) player from the Netherlands, who represented his home country at the 1920 Summer Olympics. The Royal Dutch Cricket Association (Dutch: Koninklijke Nederlandse Cricket Bond, KNCB) is the governing body of cricket in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It was formed in 1890 and received a Royal charter in 1958. 2008 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier
The 2008 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier was an eight-team tournament held in South Africa in February 2008 to decide the final two qualifiers for the 2009 Women's Cricket World Cup. South Africa and Pakistan qualified, with the hosts beating Pakistan in the final. Pre-tournament The 2007 tournament was due to be played in Lahore, Pakistan in November 2007 but was postponed owing to the state of emergency in Pakistan, and subsequently shifted to South Africa, where was played in February 2008. The eight participating teams were divided into two groups. Group A featured South Africa, Bermuda, Papua New Guinea, Netherlands and Group B featured Ireland, Pakistan, Zimbabwe and Scotland. The Netherlands women's national cricket team, nicknamed the Lionesses, represents the Kingdom of the Netherlands in international women's cricket. Piet Velthuizen ( born 3 November 1986) is a Dutch goalkeeper. He participated in the 2008 Summer Olympics. Club career Vitesse Velthuizen made his first team debut on 31 December 2006, in the 2–2 away match against Willem II. His career developed rapidly, and according to Sky Sports, he was among the most promising goalkeepers in Europe in 2008. He broke into the Vitesse first team in the 2007–08 season, when he signed a contract extension until 2011.
