Quezon City's 1st Congressional District
Quezon City's 1st congressional district is one of the six congressional districts of the Philippines in Quezon City. It has been represented in the House of Representatives of the Philippines since 1987. The district consists of the western barangays bordering Manila and the southern enclave of Caloocan, and to the north of Quezon Avenue. The neighborhoods of La Loma, San Francisco del Monte and Santa Mesa Heights are in this district. It is currently represented in the 19th Congress by Arjo Atayde of the Nacionalista Party (NP). Quezon, officially the Province of Quezon ( tl, Lalawigan ng Quezon), is a province in the Philippines located in the Calabarzon region on Luzon. Kalilayan was the first known name of the province. 1995 Philippine House Of Representatives Elections
Elections for the House of Representatives of the Philippines were held on May 8, 1995. Being the first midterm election since 1938, the party of the incumbent president, Fidel V. Ramos's Lakas-NUCD-UMDP, won a plurality of the seats in the House of Representatives. The elected representatives served in the 10th Congress from 1995 to 1998. Jose de Venecia, Jr. was easily reelected as the speaker of the House. Results The administration party, Lakas-NUCD-UMDP, forged an electoral agreement with Laban ng Demokratikong Pilipino to create the Lakas-Laban Coalition. Candidates from the Liberal Party and PDP–Laban also joined the administration coalition. People's Reform Party
The People's Reform Party ( abbrev. PRP) is a political party in the Philippines. Founded on April 12, 1991, as the political party of former Agrarian Reform Secretary Miriam Defensor Santiago for her bid as president in the 1992 Presidential Elections. During the 1992 Elections, the party nominated Santiago as president and Ramon Magsaysay, Jr. as vice president, however both Santiago and Magsaysay lost the elections to former Defense Secretary Fidel Ramos and then-Senator Joseph Estrada, respectively. 1992 Philippine House Of Representatives Elections
Elections for the House of Representatives of the Philippines were held on May 11, 1992. Held on the same day as the presidential election since incumbent president Corazon Aquino did not contest the election, the Laban ng Demokratikong Pilipino (LDP) served as the ''de facto'' administration party; just as all House of Representative elections, the perceived party of the president won majority of the seats in the House of Representatives. However, Fidel V. Ramos of Lakas-NUCD won the presidential election; this caused most of the newly elected congressmen to abandon the LDP for Lakas-NUCD. San Antonio is one of the 142 barangays of Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Balingasa, commonly known as Balintawak and Cloverleaf, is an administrative division in eastern Metro Manila, the Philippines. It is an urban barangay located in Quezon City, at the city's western boundary with Caloocan.
