Guy M. Sconzo Early College High School is a small secondary school in unincorporated Harris County, Texas, near the city of Humble. It is a part of the Humble Independent School District and is an Early College High School. Students can earn an associate degree or hours of college credit toward a bachelor's degree through Lone Star College-Kingwood along with a high school diploma. __TOC__ History Established in January 1995 as Quest High School, Quest served the district as an alternative high school that offered students a smaller high school environment as opposed to the district's large schools. Humble, Texas
Humble ( ) is a city located in the Houston metropolitan area. Humble became an oil boomtown in the early 20th century when oil was first discovered there in 1904. By 1905, the Humble oilfield was the largest producing oilfield in Texas. Humble was home of The Humble Oil and Refining Company, a predecessor of Exxon. As of the 2020 census, the city population was 16,795. History The first settlers began moving into the Humble area in the early 19th century. Joseph Dunman is believed to be the first settler in 1828. A ferry was built nearby, across the San Jacinto River. Lone Star College-Kingwood, until 2007 Kingwood College (KC), is a community college in the Kingwood section of Houston, Texas, United States. Lone Star College-Kingwood is a part of the Lone Star College System.
