The Quest For Fire
''The Quest for Fire'' (french: La Guerre du feu, literally ''The War for Fire'') is a 1911 Belgian fantasy novel by " J.-H. Rosny", the pseudonym of two brothers; the author was actually the elder of the two, Joseph Henri Honoré Boex (1856–1940). It was first published in English in an abridged edition in 1967. It was adapted into the critically acclaimed 1981 film '' Quest for Fire'' starring Ron Perlman. The film is not a faithful adaption of the book. Setting ''The Quest for Fire'' takes place in 100,000 BC in Europe. The fauna of this period is omnipresent, including mammoths, cave lions, aurochs, cave bears, saber-toothed cats, giant elks and saiga antelopes. ''Quest for Fire'' (french: La Guerre du feu) is a 1981 prehistoric fantasy adventure film directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud, written by Gérard Brach and starring Everett McGill, Ron Perlman, Nameer El-Kadi and Rae Dawn Chong. The Canadian-French co-production is a film adaptation of the 1911 Belgian novel ''The Quest for Fire'' by J.-H. Rosny. The story is set in Paleolithic Europe (80,000 years ago), with its plot surrounding the struggle for control of fire by early humans. The film was critically acclaimed. It won the Academy Award and BAFTA Award for Best Makeup, and the César Awards for Best Film and Best Director. ''Piece of Mind'' is the fourth studio album by English heavy metal band Iron Maiden. It was released on 16 May 1983 in the United Kingdom by EMI Records and in the United States by Capitol Records. It was the first album to feature drummer Nicko McBrain, who had recently left the band Trust and has been Iron Maiden's drummer ever since. ''Piece of Mind'' was a mostly critical and commercial success, reaching number three on the UK Albums Chart and achieving platinum certification in the UK and North America. ''Quest for Fire'' is the second studio album by American record producer Skrillex, released on February 17, 2023, through Owsla and Atlantic Records. It follows his 2014 album '' Recess'' and was preceded by the singles "Rumble" (with Fred Again and Flowdan), "Leave Me Like This" (with Bobby Raps), and "Xena" (with Nai Barghouti). It also includes collaborations with Aluna, Eli Keszler, Pete Wentz, Starrah, Swae Lee, Noisia, Dylan Brady, Four Tet, Missy Elliott, Mr. Oizo, Porter Robinson and Bibi Bourelly.
