Juan Quero Barraso (born 17 October 1984) is a Spanish footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Real Aranjuez. Club career Born in Vallecas, Madrid, Quero began playing football for Real Madrid, joining lowly DAV Santa Ana ( fourth division) after his unsuccessful youth spell. In the summer of 2005 he signed for another team from Madrid, AD Alcorcón, moving up to the third level. Quero signed with division two side Polideportivo Ejido for the 2006–07 season. However, a few months later, the Royal Spanish Football Federation deemed the deal illegal, and the player returned to his previous club without any official appearances for the Andalusians. Manuel Cortés Quero (1906-1991), known as "The Mole of Mijas", was a Spanish politician and the last Republican mayor of Mijas ( Málaga) between 3 March and 23 November 1936. Biography With the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War, he fled the municipality, to which he returned incognito on the night of 17 November 1939, beginning a long confinement in his own home that would last 30 years. When on 28 March 1969 he heard on his radio the news that the Government had decreed the statute of limitations for crimes committed until 1 April 1939, he decided to leave his confinement. The then mayor of Mijas, Miguel González Berral, accompanied him to the Civil Guard Headquarters in Málaga, where the lieutenant colonel in command said: "You are free". Quero, Spain
Quero is a municipality in the province of Toledo, Castile-La Mancha, in central Spain. According to the 2012 census the municipality has a population of 1,311 inhabitants, down from a total of 3,101 in the 1930 census. Location Quero \is located 107 km east of Toledo. Historically it is documented that in 1162, during the ''Reconquista'', its lands belonged to the Sovereign Military Order of Malta. In 1241 the lands were handed over to the ''Comendador'' of Consuegra. Quero lies close to a relatively large pond known as ''Laguna Grande''. Quero is a town in the province of Belluno, in the Veneto region of northern Italy. It is a ''frazione'' of Quero Vas, having been a commune in its own right until 2013. History Quero was founded perhaps by the Greeks. It became feud of the counts of Collalto, and it was territory administered by a popular assembly. St. Girolamo Emiliani was converted in this city in 1511. The parish church was a national monument, destroyed in 1917 by the Germans. It has since been completely reconstructed.
