Queens Village Depot
MTA Regional Bus Operations operates local and express buses serving New York City in the United States out of 29 bus garage, bus depots. These depots are located in all five boroughs of the city, with the exception of one located in nearby Yonkers, New York, Yonkers in Westchester County, New York, Westchester County. 21 of these depots serve New York City Transit Authority, MTA New York City Transit (NYCT)'s bus operations, while the remaining eight serve the MTA Bus Company (the successor to private bus operations taken over around 2006.) These facilities perform regular maintenance, cleaning, and painting of buses, as well as collection of revenue from bus fareboxes. Several of these depots were once car barns for streetcars, while others were built much later and have only served buses. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) operates a number of bus routes in the Bronx, New York, United States. Many of them are the direct descendants of streetcar lines (see list of streetcar lines in the Bronx). All local buses are operated by the New York City Transit Authority, except for the Bx23, which is operated by the MTA Bus Company. Eight Metro-North Railroad feeder routes are operated by Logan Bus Company to and from the Riverdale and Spuyten Duyvil stations, under contract with the brand name of Hudson Rail Link. Castle Hill is a neighborhood located in the southeast section of the borough of the Bronx in New York City. Its boundaries are Waterbury Avenue and Westchester Avenue to the north, Westchester Creek to the east, the East River to the south, and White Plains Road to the west. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is a decentralized agency charged with the establishment, maintenance, and regulation of public transportation in the state of Florida. The department was formed in 1969. It absorbed the powers of the State Road Department (SRD). The current Secretary of Transportation is Jared W. Perdue. History The State Road Department, the predecessor of today's Department of Transportation, was authorized in 1915 by the Florida Legislature. For the first two years of its existence, the department acted as an advisory body to the 52 counties in the state, helping to assemble maps and other information on roads.
