Queen Mundeok
Queen Mundeok of the Chungju Yu clan () was a Goryeo princess as the youngest daughter and child of King Gwangjong and Queen Daemok, also the youngest sister of King Gyeongjong. She firstly married Wang Gyu, but after his death remarried again and became a queen consort through her marriage with her half first cousin, King Seongjong as his first and primary wife. From this marriage, Queen Mundeok became the fifth reigned Goryeo queen who followed her maternal clan after Queen Heonjeong, her half first cousin and the first Goryeo queen who remarried. Although her death date was unknown, but seeing that her son-in-law (formerly nephew), King Mokjong gave her Posthumous names in 997, so it seems that she died before that. Mokjong Of Goryeo
Mokjong of Goryeo (5 July 980 – 2 March 1009) (r. 997–1009) was the seventh ruler of the Goryeo dynasty of Korea. Reign Born as Wang Song, Mokjong was the only son of King Gyeongjong; however, when his father died, he was too young to become king, so it was his uncle, prince Gaeryeong Wang Chi, who succeeded to the throne as King Seongjong. Mokjong eventually became king after his uncle's death in 997 and chose his mother, Queen Honae, as regent. Mokjong is known for his reform of the ''Jeonsigwa'' (land-allotment system), and for a plot by his mother, Queen Honae and Kim Chi-yang to overthrow him. In the course of the turbulent events surrounding the plot, Mokjong was dethroned by general Gang Jo and sent into exile in Chungju. However, he was slain before he arrived there. Gojong Of Goryeo
Gojong of Goryeo (3 February 1192 – 21 July 1259), sometimes spelled Ko-tjong, was the twenty-third ruler of Goryeo in present-day Korea from 1213–1259. Gojong's reign was marked by prolonged conflict with the Mongol Empire, which sought to conquer Goryeo, ending only to settle peace in 1259. During his reign actual power rested with the Choe family of military dictators. Biography Although ascending to the throne in 1213, Gojong did not wield much power until powerful advisors were killed off. In 1216, the Khitan invaded but was defeated.
