Cartier Queen's Cup
The Cartier Queen's Cup is a 22-goal polo tournament at the Guards Polo Club in England. Named after Queen Elizabeth II, it is held annually in May–June. According to '' Country Life'', it is the "jewel in the polo calendar" and it "encapsulates the best of the British season." Early life The tournament was first established in 1960. The Queen's Cup is a golf tournament on the Asian Tour and is played in Thailand. The inaugural tournament was held in 2009 at the Santiburi Samui Country Club and the prize fund was US$300,000. Queen's Cup (ice Hockey)
The Queen's Cup is a trophy awarded annually to the champion in men's ice hockey of the Ontario University Athletics conference of U Sports. It has been awarded since 1903 to the champion between Ontario and Quebec universities. It is the second-oldest ice hockey trophy still being awarded, after the Stanley Cup. The QUAA (now named the RSEQ) ceased to operate a university hockey league after the 1986–87 season. The conference's three remaining teams at that point (McGill Redmen, UQTR Patriotes, and Concordia Stingers) joined, and remain, in the OUA conference. The Queen's Cup, formerly King's Cup, is a horse race run in different locations across Australia from 1927 in most years until the present day. It was originally held in each of the six states of Australia in rotation each year, but has not been held in strict rotation in recent decades. The Port Adelaide Cup is a South Australian Jockey Club Listed Thoroughbred horse race for horses aged three years old and over, at quality handicap conditions, over a distance of 2,500 metres at the Morphettville Racecourse, Adelaide, Australia in the Autumn Carnival. History The race has assumed the history of the Port Adelaide Cup after the closure of Cheltenham Park Racecourse in 2009.
