Ayer's Cliff, Quebec
Ayer's Cliff ( 2021 population 1,180) is a village municipality in the Memphrémagog Regional County Municipality in the Estrie region of Quebec. It is located just north of the Canada–United States border, on Lake Massawippi, near the mouth of the Tomifobia River. Stanstead, Quebec (township)
Stanstead is a township municipality of about 1,100 people in the Memphrémagog Regional County Municipality in the Estrie region of Quebec. It is not to be confused with the city of Stanstead, which is nearby although not directly adjacent (the municipality of Ogden lies in between). Formally, the township consists of two villages: Fitch Bay (founded in 1855) and Georgeville (founded in the 1890s). Both villages formed as a result of English-speaking migrants from the United States state of Vermont until borderline customs stations were established after 1920. Today, the population is bilingual with predominance in French language (about 64%). Hatley is a municipality of about 771 people, in Memphrémagog Regional County Municipality in the Estrie region of Quebec, Canada. It lies to the south of the township municipality of the same name. An otherwise quiet and tiny agricultural setting, one of Hatley's main claims to fame is its annual Canada Day Celebration which always takes place on July 1. Stanstead is a town in the Memphrémagog Regional County Municipality in the Estrie region of Quebec, located on the Canada–United States border across from Derby Line, Vermont. The Town of Stanstead was created in 1995 by the merger of the former villages of Stanstead Plain and Beebe (formerly Beebe Plain) and the Town of Rock Island. This is a list of the regional county municipalities (RCM or MRC) and equivalent territories (TE) in the province of Quebec, Canada. They are given along with their geographical codes as specified by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs, Regions and Land Occupancy, and the administrative regions to which they belong. Orford is a township municipality of about 5,000 people in Memphrémagog Regional County Municipality in the Estrie region of Quebec, Canada. Orford's main attraction is its ski resort on Mount Orford, attracting thousands of people every winter. Orford is well known for the Mont-Orford National Park. The park has thousands of acres of forest and two major lakes, Stukley and Fraser. Cherry river runs through the park and ends up in Lake Memphremagog.
