Quail Hill, Irvine, California
Quail Hill is a village in the southern part of Irvine, Orange County, California. It is one of the seven communities that belong to the University area of the City of Irvine. The village's name comes from a distinctive rock formation that adjoins of open space. Located next to the 405 freeway, Quail Hill is close to major employment, entertainment and dining areas of the city. At the foot of Quail Hill there is the Quail Hill Loop Trail that provides public access to a natural surface trail. Irvine () is a Planned community, master-planned city in South Orange County, California, United States, in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The Irvine Company started developing the area in the 1960s and the city was formally incorporated on December 28, 1971. The city had a population of 307,670 at the 2020 United States Census, 2020 census. The University of California, Irvine (UCI or UC Irvine) is a public land-grant research university in Irvine, California. One of the ten campuses of the University of California system, UCI offers 87 undergraduate degrees and 129 graduate and professional degrees, and roughly 30,000 undergraduates and 6,000 graduate students are enrolled at UCI as of Fall 2019. Interstate 405 (California)
Interstate 405 (I-405) is a major north–south auxiliary Interstate Highway in Southern California. The entire route is known as the northern segment of the San Diego Freeway. I-405 is a bypass auxiliary route of I-5, running along the southern and western parts of the Greater Los Angeles urban area from Irvine in the south to near San Fernando in the north. I-405, heavily traveled by both commuters and freight haulers along its entire length, is the busiest and most congested freeway in the United States. The freeway's annual average daily traffic between exits 21 and 22 in Seal Beach reached 374,000 in 2008, making it the highest count in the nation.
