John William Saunders III (April 1, 1938 – August 9, 2009), better known by the stage name John Quade, was an American character actor who starred in film and in television. He was best known for his role as Cholla, the leader of the motorcycle gang the Black Widows in the Clint Eastwood films ''Every Which Way but Loose'' (1978) and its sequel ''Any Which Way You Can'' (1980). Early life Born in Kansas City, Kansas, Quade attended Perry Rural High School in Perry, Kansas before transferring to Highland Park High School in Topeka on September 7, 1954. Mary Quade (born October 21, 1971) is an American writer of poetry and nonfiction. In 2003, her poetry collection ''Guide to Native Beasts'' won the Cleveland State University Poetry Center First Book Prize, chosen by judge Marilyn Krysl. Her second collection, ''Local Extinctions'', was published in 2016 by Gold Wake Press. Her essay collection ''Zoo World'', won the 2022 ''The Journal'' Non/Fiction Prize, chosen by judge Michelle Herman, and was published in 2023 by The Ohio State University / Mad Creek Books Imprint in 2023. She earned her A.B. from the University of Chicago and her M.F.A. from The University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop. Her work has been awarded an Oregon Literary Fellowship (2001) and four Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Awards (Poetry 2006, Poetry 2010, Nonfiction 2014, Nonfiction 2020). Mike Quade
Gregory Michael Quade (pronounced: KWAH-dee) (born March 12, 1957) is an American professional baseball coach and manager. The manager of the Rochester Red Wings, Triple-A farm system affiliate of the Minnesota Twins of Major League Baseball from 2015–17, Quade is currently the roving outfield coordinator in the Minnesota farm system. He had spent as a roving outfield and baserunning instructor for the New York Yankees' organization. Quade played college baseball at the University of New Orleans, and played professionally in Minor League Baseball (MiLB) as an outfielder, third baseman and second baseman. He became a MiLB manager after he retired as a player. From 2000 through 2002, he served as a coach for the Oakland Athletics, and he coached the Cubs from 2007 through 2010. Ricky Quade
Ricky Quade (born 26 August 1950) is a former Australian rules footballer who represented South Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Quade later became better known as the inaugural coach of the Sydney Swans, when South Melbourne relocated to the Harbour City in 1982, and also served the club in various administrative roles.
