Xindian District
Xindian District () is an inner city district in the southern part of New Taipei City, Taiwan. Name Xindian's name originated during the Qing Dynasty close to 300 years ago. According to legend, a person named Lin and others came from Quanzhou, Fujian Province. On a mountain road leading to Wulai, they built a small cabin and opened a store selling groceries for the exchange of goods with mountain aborigines. Since the store had no formal name, travelers called it ''Sintiam'' (). An area usually not considered as part of Xindian is ''Ankeng'' (), although it is within the jurisdiction of the district, located in a valley on the west side of the Xindian Creek. It was originally called ''Amkhe'ar'' (), due to luxurious vegetation in the area. However, it was later decided to be indecent and the name was changed to ''Ankeng'' (). A side platform (also known as a marginal platform or a single-face platform) is a platform positioned to the side of one or more railway tracks or guideways at a railway station, tram stop, or transitway. Xiaobitan Metro Station
The Taipei Metro Xiaobitan station is a terminal station on the Xiaobitan branch line located in Xindian District, New Taipei, Taiwan. The Taipei Metro Dapinglin station (formerly transliterated as Ta Pinglin Station until 2003) is located in Xindian District, New Taipei, Taiwan. Songshan Station
Songshan () is a railway and metro station in Taipei, Taiwan, served by Taiwan Railways and Taipei Metro. This station connects to the shopping centre at basement 1 and level 1. The station is a planned transfer for the Circular line, where, unlike the Songshan–Xindian line, continues straight until its terminus after Xiangshan station, which is likely Sanzhangli station.
