Qemal Karaosmani
Qemal bej Karaosmani (17 July 1875 – 5 August 1949) was one of the signatories of the Albanian Declaration of Independence,"History of Albanian People" Albanian Academy of Science. and an activist of Albanian education. He served as General Secretary and briefly as Minister of Agriculture in the Provisional Government of Albania. Life Karaosmani was born in Elbasan, back then part of Manastir Vilayet of the Ottoman Empire, today's central Albania. He got his first studies in the Turkish school of his home town. Later he finished the high school and the graduate studies in Istanbul where he got a degree for Political Sciences and Civic Administration. During his studies in Istanbul, he got in contact with some Albanian patriots and activists, especially Murat Toptani, who would become a close friend. Qemal Omari
Qemal Omari (born 1928) was a Turkish football player, manager and referee of Albanian heritage. He was a founding member of İstanbulspor A.Ş. in 1926 and he played for the club before retiring and becoming a referee and the general secretary of the Istanbul Football League. in 1932 he notably refereed the game between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe before moving to Albania to become the manager of Skënderbeu Korçë. Skënderbeu In the early 1930s, King Zog of Albania had wanted foreign players and coaches to come to the country in order to raise the profile of football and to increase the standards, and Omari was invited by representatives of King Zog to Albania along with Servet Teufik Agaj, both of whom were Ethnic Albanians living in Turkey. Qemal Stafa
Qemal Stafa (20 March 1920 – 5 May 1942) was a founding member of the Albanian Communist Party, and the leader of its youth section. Biography Stafa was born in Elbasan in 1920, in a family originating from the Zabzun village, at the time part of Dibra Region. His father Ahmet was in the military, and moved in 1923 to Shkodër as Director of the Recruiting Office for the Prefecture of Shkodër. Qemal Stafa studied in Shkodër at the Saverian College. With the educational reforms established by the Minister Mirash Ivanaj, private schools were closed and Stafa moved to the public high school of Shkodër. After the death of his father in 1936, his family moved to Tirana, where he studied at the Tirana Lyceum (subsequently named Qemal Stafa High School). He was one of the co-founders of the Communist Group of Shkodër, one out of three groups that would join in 1941 to form the Communist Party of Albania. Ismail Qemal bey Vlora, mostly known as Ismail Qemali (; 16 January 184426 January 1919), was an Albanian diplomat, politician, rilindas, statesman and the Founding Father of modern Albania, and one of the most famous Southern Albanian person. The principal author of the Declaration of Independence, he subsequently served as the first Prime and Foreign Minister of Albania during the period from 1912 to 1914. Born and raised in Vlorë into a wealthy Tosk family, Qemali developed an early interest in languages and mastered Ottoman Turkish, Greek, Italian and French in Ioannina and later studied law in Istanbul. Qemal Vogli (29 September 1929 – 4 July 2004) was a famous Albanian footballer who played most of his professional career as goalkeeper for Dinamo Tirana football club. Vogli is widely considered as the greatest goalkeeper in the history of Albanian football. Club career Born on either 29 September or 15 March 1929 in Kavajë, Vogli made his senior debut in 1946 for hometown club Besa. Escape from and return to Albania Since the communist regime of Enver Hoxha had deemed the Vogli family as enemies of the state due to alleged links to the nazis, Vogli was forced to join Ministry of Interior club Dinamo Tirana and to spy on people for the regime. He finally escaped the country in West Berlin on 3 September 1956, only to be brought back to Albania shortly afterwards by the Sigurimi and the Stasi. Kemal Vrioni (1885–1952) was an Albanian political figure of the 1930s and 1940s. Biography Kemal Vrioni was a member of the Vrioni family, a major landowning family from the Ottoman cast. He was the main landowner in the Fier region. Born in Fier in 1885. He studied economics public administration in Istanbul. Qemal Vrioni was a participant at the Congress of Durrës in December 1918. He was Assemblyman of Albanian Parliament during 1921-1928. He was involved in the anti- Zogist Uprising of Fier in 1935. Unlike other organizers like Costa Chekrezi, Musa Kranja, or Xhevahir Arapi who fled the country or were severely punished, he managed to come out unharmed.
