QazSport
Qazsport is the first Kazakhstan, Kazakh national sports TV channel. The channel launched on 1 July 2013, as KAZsport and is based in Nur-Sultan, Astana, Kazakhstan. Qazsport broadcasts the Kazakh championships alongside live broadcasts of major international sporting events, which account for 70% of broadcasting. The commentators are well-known Kazakh sports journalists, who commentate in Kazakh and Russian. The channel also broadcasts news, own productions and sports documentaries in their programme schedule. Qazaqstan Radio And Television Corporation
Qazaqstan Radio and Television Corporation ( kk, «Қазақстан» РТРК» АҚ; "Qazaqstan" RTRK" AQ) is one of the largest media companies in Kazakhstan. It runs four TV channels: Qazaqstan, Qazsport, Balapan, Abai TV; and four radio stations: Qazaq Radiosy, Shalkar, Astana, and Classic. There are also 14 regional TV channels that are part of the corporation. History The first radio station in Kazakhstan was ''Kazakh radiosy'', launched in 1922. The first TV channel started broadcasting in 1958. These two and several other channels and radio stations later become parts of Kazakhstan Radio and Television Corporation. The Kazakh or simply Qazaq (Latin: or , Cyrillic: or , Arabic Script: or , , ) is a Turkic language of the Kipchak branch spoken in Central Asia by Kazakhs. It is closely related to Nogai, Kyrgyz and Karakalpak. It is the official language of Kazakhstan and a significant minority language in the Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture in Xinjiang, north-western China and in the Bayan-Ölgii Province of western Mongolia. Astana, previously known as Akmolinsk, Tselinograd, Akmola, and most recently Nur-Sultan, is the capital city of Kazakhstan. The city lies on the banks of the Ishim River in the north-central part of Kazakhstan, within the Akmola Region, though administered as a city with special status separately from the rest of the region.
