''Questa specie d'amore'' (aka, ''This Kind of Love'') is a 1972 Italian drama film directed by Alberto Bevilacqua. It is based on the novel with the same name written by Bevilacqua himself. The film was awarded with the David di Donatello for best film and two Nastro d'Argento awards for best screenplay and for best story. Alberto Bevilacqua
Alberto Bevilacqua (27 June 1934 – 9 September 2013) was an Italian writer and filmmaker. Leonardo Sciascia, an Italian writer and politician, read Bevilacqua's first collection of stories, ''The Dust on the Grass'' (1955), was impressed and published it. Mario Colombi Guidotti, responsible for the literary supplement of the ''Journal of Parma'', began to publish his stories in the early 1950s. ''Friendship Lost'', his first book of poems, was published in 1961. ''Caliph'', published in 1964, was his break-through novel. The protagonist, Irene Corsini, imbued with his own sweet and energetic temperament, is one of the strongest female characters in Italian literature. His novel ''This Kind of Love'' won the Campiello Prize in 1966. In both ''This Kind of Love'' and ''Caliph'', Bevilacqua oversaw the adaptations and productions of the film versions. Jean Seberg
Jean Dorothy Seberg (; ; November 13, 1938August 30, 1979) was an American actress who lived half of her life in France. Her performance in Jean-Luc Godard's 1960 film ''Breathless'' immortalized her as an icon of French New Wave cinema. Seberg appeared in 34 films in Hollywood and in Europe, including '' Saint Joan'', '' Bonjour Tristesse'', ''Lilith'', ''The Mouse That Roared'', '' Breathless'', '' Moment to Moment'', ''A Fine Madness'', '' Paint Your Wagon'', ''Airport'', '' Macho Callahan'', and ''Gang War in Naples''. Seberg was among the best-known targets of the FBI's COINTELPRO project. Her targeting was in retaliation for her support of the Black Panther Party, a smear directly ordered by J. Edgar Hoover. Marisa Belli (born 12 April 1933) is an Italian former actress. Life and career Born in Rome, at young age Belli worked as an accountant and a secretary for several film production companies. After some experiences as a runway model, Belli was chosen by Pietro Germi for the role of Agrippina Solmo in ''Jealousy''. Angelo Infanti (; 16 February 1939 – 12 October 2010) was an Italian film actor. He appeared in more than 90 films between 1961 and 2010. He was born on 16 February 1939 in Zagarolo, Italy. He died on 12 October 2010 in Tivoli, Italy due to cardiac arrest. Infanti is best known to non-Italian audiences as Fabrizio in ''The Godfather''. Fabrizio was a bodyguard to Michael Corleone who was hiding in Sicily. Fabrizio betrays Michael by setting up explosives in his car, but kills his new bride instead. In the novel, Fabrizio is later shot dead in revenge for the killing. A scene was filmed of him being killed by the Corleones using a car bomb but was cut from the motion picture before its theatrical release.
