HMS ''Quentin'' was a Q-class destroyer laid down by J. Samuel White and Company, Limited, at Cowes on the Isle of Wight on 25 September 1940, launched on 5 November 1941 and commissioned on 15 April 1942. She saw service during the Second World War before being sunk in 1942 by German aircraft off North Africa. Service history ''Quentin'' attacked and sank the German submarine with the aid of destroyers and in the Caribbean Sea near Trinidad on 3 September 1942. Quentin is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, United States. It was named after Quentin Roosevelt, youngest son of President Theodore Roosevelt. The population was 594 at the 2010 census, up from 529 at the 2000 census. Name The town was originally named "Bismark", a local spelling of the name of Otto von Bismarck. ''Quentins'' is a 2002 novel by the Irish author Maeve Binchy. The title refers to Quentins Restaurant, a fictional upscale dining establishment in central Dublin, Ireland. The restaurant was referenced numerous times in previous Binchy titles; this novel explores its 30-year history as well as the lives of its patrons. The novel was produced as a BBC ''Word for Word'' audiobook in 2003.
