Queen's Park W.F.C.
Queen's Park Women are a Scottish women's football team based in Glasgow, associated with the men's professional team Queen's Park. They were formed in 1999 as ''Wellpark'' before changing to their current name in 2002. They currently play in Scottish Women's Premier League 2, the second tier of the national league system. The team play their home matches at The city Stadium, New Tinto Park and occasionally at Nethercraigs Sports Complex. Lesser Hampden is a football stadium in Mount Florida, Glasgow, Scotland, which is located immediately beside the western end of Hampden Park stadium. History In 1923, Queen's Park F.C., Queen's Park were looking for an alternative venue for their reserves and youth teams, with a basic pitch to the south of the main stand at Hampden Park increasingly being used as a car park.Lesser Hampden QPFC.com The club purchased a farm on the west side of Hampden and built a pitch and stands.
