Pär Sundström
Pär Sundström (born 8 June 1981) is a Swedish bass player. He and Joakim Brodén are the last remaining founding members of heavy metal band Sabaton. He is also the band's manager and one of the band's lyricists. Life Sundström was born in Falun, Dalarna County, Sweden. During his youth, Sundström played mainly in black and death metal bands. In 1999, he founded Sabaton with Joakim Brodén. Shortly after Oskar Montelius joined the band. Concerning his role in Sabaton he stated in an interview with ''metalheadspotted.com'': "I do a lot of stuff that is necessary for the band as manager." Before Sabaton became a professional band, Sundström worked for two years "as a manager of a big company". His management office, as well as the band's studio, are based in Falun. Sundström has one sister. His main musical influences are Twisted Sister, especially Dee Snider, as well as Skid Row. ''Primo Victoria'' (Latin for "Victory First") is the debut studio album by Swedish Heavy metal music, heavy metal band Sabaton (band), Sabaton. The band had previously recorded the full length album ''Metalizer'' with Italian label Underground Symphony, but due to conflicts its release was delayed until 2007. ''Primo Victoria'' instead became Sabaton's debut album, recorded in 2004 in The Abyss (recording studio), Abyss Studios, and released the following year with their new label, Black Lodge Records. In 2010 the album was re-released on German label Nuclear Blast, with six additional bonus tracks, under the name ''Primo Victoria Re-Armed''. ''The Great War'' is the ninth studio album by Swedish heavy metal band Sabaton. It was released on 19 July 2019. It is the first studio album to feature guitarist Tommy Johansson. Like many of Sabaton's albums, it is a concept album, this time about World War I, often known as the Great War. The songs cover multiple stories from the war, including those of Manfred von Richthofen, T.E. Lawrence, Alvin York, the Attack of the Dead Men, the Battle of Verdun, and others. ''The Last Stand'' is the eighth studio album by Swedish heavy metal band Sabaton. It was produced by Peter Tägtgren in the Abyss Studios in Sweden and released on 19 August 2016. Like Sabaton's previous album Heroes, ''The Last Stand'' is a concept album and takes inspiration from " last stand" military battles. On 10 June 2016 the first single "The Lost Battalion" was released, followed by "Blood of Bannockburn" on 15 July and "Shiroyama" on 12 August. A lyric video for the title track was released on 25 January 2018. ''The Art of War'' is the fourth album by Swedish Heavy metal music, heavy metal band Sabaton (band), Sabaton. The album is based on the ancient Chinese military treatise, ''The Art of War'' written by General Sun Tzu in the 6th century BC.
