Páraic Fanning
Páraic Fanning (born 1970) is an Irish hurling manager and former player who served as the manager of the Waterford senior hurling team for the 2019 season. Management and coaching career Mount Sion In January 2005, Fanning succeeded Jim Greene as manager of the Mount Sion senior hurling team. On 23 October 2006, he guided Mount Sion to the Waterford Championship title after a 2-13 to 0-12 defeat of Ballygunner in the final. James Stephens As manager of the James Stephens senior hurling team in Kilkenny, Fanning guided the club to the final of the Kilkenny Championship on 26 October 2008. James Stephens were defeated by Ballyhale Shamrocks on a scoreline of 2-11 to 0-12 on that occasion. 2010 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship
The 2010 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 114th staging of Ireland's premier hurling competition since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1887. A total of thirteen teams competed in the championship, with Tipperary unseating the four-time defending champions Kilkenny by 4-17 to 1-18 in the final at Croke Park, Dublin. The Munster Senior Club Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the AIB Munster GAA Hurling Senior Club Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1964 for the champion hurling teams in the province of Munster in Ireland. Fitzgibbon Cup
The Fitzgibbon Cup ( ga, Corn Mhic Giobúin) is the trophy for the premier hurling championship among higher education institutions (universities, colleges and institutes of technology) in Ireland. The Fitzgibbon Cup competition is administered by Comhairle Ard Oideachais Cumann Lúthchleas Gael (CLG), the GAA's Higher Education Council. Comhairle Ard Oideachais also oversees the Ryan Cup (tier 2 hurling championship), the Fergal Maher Cup (tier 3 hurling championship) and the Padraig MacDiarmada (tier 4 hurling championship). Patrick 'Pa' Kearney (born 16 November 1987) is an Irish sportsman. He plays hurling with his local club Ballyduff Upper and has been a member of the Waterford senior inter-county team since 2007. Playing career Club Kearney plays his club hurling with Ballyduff Upper. Kearney has had several successes with the club, including winning the Waterford Intermediate Hurling Championship with the club in 2005 and the Waterford Senior Hurling Championship in 2007. Inter-county Kearney first came to Justin McCarthy's attention after an impressive performance at club level. While Kearney joined the panel during the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship in 2007, Kearney did not play his first game for Waterford until the National Hurling League 2008. James Murray (hurler)
James Murray (born 1979) is an Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his local club Tallow and with the Waterford senior inter-county team. Career Club Murray has played with his local club, Tallow from a young age. His greatest achievement with the club was in winning the Waterford Minor Hurling Championship in 1997. As well as playing with Tallow, Murray has represented St. Colmans of Fermoy, winning the Dr. Harty Cup and at collegic level, with UCC in the Fitzgibbon Cup winning two titles, and has also won a North American Championship with the Harry Bolands Chicago in 1999. Derek McGrath (hurler)
Derek McGrath (born 30 May 1976) is an Irish retired hurler who played as a centre-forward for the Waterford senior team. He is a former manager of the Waterford senior team. Born in Waterford, McGrath first played competitive hurling during his schooldays. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen when he first linked up with the Waterford minor team, before later lining out with the under-21 side. He joined the senior panel for the 1996 championship, and was a seldom used player until he left inter-county hurling after the 1998 championship. At club level McGrath is a Munster medallist with De La Salle. He also won one championship medal. In retirement from playing, McGrath became involved in team management and coaching.
