Pádraig Hughes
Pádraig Hughes is a Gaelic football referee from Armagh. He is a regular member of the Gaelic Athletic Association's Championship Panels for inter-county games. Hughes injured himself against Eamonn Doherty when he was officiating the Dublin game in Ballybofey in the 2013 National Football League and he had to be stretchered off of the field. The injury was so bad that he was ruled out of the 2013 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, and Down's Ciarán Brannigan was brought in to replace him. Hughes officiated the 2014 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final, which saw Donegal face Kerry. He gave Kerry a second-half penalty against Cork in the 2015 Munster Senior Football Championship final. Gaelic Football
Gaelic football ( ga, Peil Ghaelach; short name '), commonly known as simply Gaelic, GAA or Football is an Irish team sport. It is played between two teams of 15 players on a rectangular grass pitch. The objective of the sport is to score by kicking or punching the ball into the other team's goals (3 points) or between two upright posts above the goals and over a crossbar above the ground (1 point). Players advance the football up the field with a combination of carrying, bouncing, kicking, hand-passing, and soloing (dropping the ball and then toe-kicking the ball upward into the hands). In the game, two types of scores are possible: points and goals. A point is awarded for kicking or hand-passing the ball over the crossbar , signalled by the umpire raising a white flag. 2014 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final
The 2014 All-Ireland Football Final, the culmination of the 2014 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, was played at Croke Park in Dublin on 21 September 2014. Ulster champions Donegal, last champions in 2012 took on Munster champions Kerry, last champions in 2009. Both sides defeated the previous year's finalists Dublin and Mayo in their semi-finals to set up this match between "the two great football outposts of the west-coast extremities". This was their first encounter on All-Ireland final day, and only the second in 127 years of Championship history, Donegal having defeated Kerry in their previous encounter at the 2012 quarter-final stage. John Bannon (referee)
John Bannon (born 1963/1964) is a former inter-county Gaelic football referee, who refereed two All-Ireland SFC finals during the 1990s and 2000s. He refereed the 1998 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final between Galway and Kildare. He also officiated the 2002 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final between Armagh and Kerry. Bannon is a member of the Legan Sarsfields club in County Longford, where he played in midfield - as of 2006 he had won one Senior B Championship, one Intermediate Championship and two Junior Championships. By 2006 he had did three Longford Senior Football Championship finals as referee. He is a Vodafone All Star Award winner. Joe Brolly
Joe Brolly (born 25 June 1969 Dungiven, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland) is a Gaelic football analyst, former player and barrister who played at senior level for the Derry county team. Brolly played for Derry in the 1990s and early 2000s and was part of the county's only All-Ireland Senior Football Championship winning side in 1993. He also won two Ulster Senior Football Championships and four National League titles. Brolly played club football for St Canice's Dungiven for most of his career, before transferring to St Brigid's GAC in Belfast. He usually played as right corner forward and was renowned for his accurate point-taking, goal-scoring ability, pace and ability to take on opponents. He was also known for his goal celebration of blowing kisses to the crowd, and had his nose broken twice during his career immediately after scoring goals. ''The Sunday Game'' is RTÉ's main Gaelic games television programme. It is shown on RTÉ2 every Sunday during the Football Championship and Hurling Championship seasons. 2015 Munster Senior Football Championship
The 2015 Munster Senior Football Championship will be that year's installment of the annual Munster Senior Football Championship held under the auspices of Munster GAA. It is one of the four provincial competitions of the 2015 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. Kerry entered the competition as defending Munster champions and retained their title after a 1–11 to 1–6 victory over Cork in a replay. The draw to decide the fixtures was made on 10 October 2014. Having reached the final the year before, Cork and Kerry were both given places in the semi-finals of the competition, but unlike previous seasons, they were not prevented from meeting each other in the semi-finals.
