Pyaar Ke Side Effects
''Pyaar Ke Side Effects'' ( en, The Side Effects of Love) is a 2006 Indian Bollywood, Hindi romantic film, romantic comedy film. It was produced under the banner of Pritish Nandy communications and was written and directed by first time director Saket Chaudhary. Mallika Sherawat and Rahul Bose played the lead cast. The film is a romantic comedy, and portrays the intricacies of a modern relationship. The film explores the theme of 'commitment phobia' in a captivating manner, an interesting, witty take on men-women relationships. After the success of this movie the lead pair were repeated in another film, ''Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam'', however, that film could not match the success of this. A sequel, ''Shaadi Ke Side Effects'', was released in 2014 with Vidya Balan and Farhan Akhtar in the lead roles. Saket Chaudhary
Saket Chaudhary is an Indian screenwriter and director mostly known for 2017 sleeper hit Hindi Medium. He also co-wrote Santosh Sivan's ''Asoka'' and is the director of ''Pyaar Ke Side Effects'', released in September 2006. Early life and career Chaudhary originally wanted to be an Engineer, but changed his focus to Media & Communications when he attended the Department of Media & Communication Studies (DMCS), Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). After graduation, he wrote various television series and worked as assistant director to Aziz Mirza on ''Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani'' (2000). Santosh Sivan was the Cinematographer and offered Chaudhary a chance to help him write the screenplay for his upcoming film ''Asoka''. Chaudhary ventured into direction himself after seeing Farhan Akhtar's ''Dil Chahta Hai'' (2001).
