Puyo Puyo~n
, also known as ''Puyo Puyo 4'' and ''Puyo Puyo~n Party'' (for the N64 version), is the fourth installment of the ''Puyo Puyo'' puzzle game series, created by Compile for the Dreamcast, PlayStation, Nintendo 64 and Game Boy Color. Like many of the Puyo Puyo games, it was never officially released outside Japan. The title of ''Puyo Puyo~n'' comes from the Japanese word , signifying the fourth game in the series. Gameplay The gameplay of ''~n'' remains similar to ''Puyo Puyo 2'', with a new addition of character specials. As Puyo are erased from the field, a power gauge fills up, enabling the use of a special ability. Each character's ability differs, and vary between the home console versions and the Game Boy Color version. Each grid in the home console versions follows Special Rule, where a preset field and special board rules are implemented. Compile (company)
was a Japanese video game developer, most notable for having developed the ''Puyo Puyo'' series, a franchise derived from the ''Madō Monogatari'' series. On 6 November 2003, the company suffered from bankruptcy. As a result, key staff moved to Compile Heart, the company's spiritual successor, whereas shoot-'em-up staff moved to MileStone Inc. The Compile trademark is being used as a brand label by Compile Heart to promote merchandise and games based on Compile properties. As of 2010, Compile Heart entered into a licensing deal with D4 Enterprise to create new video games based on franchises from Compile properties. This agreement does not affect the rights to the ''Puyo Puyo'' series as Sega retains ownership of the property. In April 2016, Niitani started a new successor company to Compile, Compile Maru. The company launched the game '' Nyoki Nyoki: Tabidachi Hen'' for Nintendo 3DS on the Nintendo eShop with a follow-up scheduled for Nintendo Switch. ''Puyo Puyo'' Compile de ...

Puyo Puyo SUN
is the third installment of the ''Puyo Puyo'' games series, and the sequel to ''Puyo Puyo 2'', made in 1996 by Compile. After the highly acclaimed success of its predecessor, Compile took a slightly more retro approach, so players had a more original feel to the game over that of ''2''. The name of ''Puyo Puyo Sun'' comes from a Japanese pun on san, and also indicates a new Puyo brought into the game. As Sun Puyo were used in this game, and the game itself is not only set on a tropical beach, but is the third in the series ( is the Japanese word for the number three), the name served multiple purposes. ''Puyo Puyo Sun'' was also released for the PC, which was also translated into Korean. A cut-down port of the game to the Sega Genesis featuring just the versus mode, titled ''VS Puyo Puyo Sun'', was released as part of the Sega Genesis Mini 2 dedicated console in 2022. Plot Satan (Dark Prince in later English localizations) has used special magic to make the Sun bigger on a ...

Game Boy Color Games
A game is a structured form of play (activity), play, usually undertaken for enjoyment, entertainment or fun, and sometimes used as an educational tool. Many games are also considered to be work (such as professional players of spectator sports or games) or art (such as jigsaw puzzles or games involving an artistic layout such as Mahjong, solitaire, or some video games). Games are sometimes played purely for enjoyment, sometimes for achievement or reward as well. They can be played alone, in teams, or online; by amateurs or by professionals. The players may have an audience of non-players, such as when people are entertained by watching a World Chess Championship, chess championship. On the other hand, players in a game may constitute their own audience as they take their turn to play. Often, part of the entertainment for children playing a game is deciding who is part of their audience and who is a player. A toy and a game are not the same. Toys generally allow for unrestr ...

Nintendo 64 Games
The list of Nintendo 64 games includes licensed releases spanning from the platform's launch in 1996 to the final release in 2002. The Nintendo 64 home video game console's library of games were primarily released in a plastic ROM cartridge called the Game Pak. This strategic choice of high-performance but lower-capacity medium was met with some controversy compared to CD-ROM. Two small indentations on the back of each cartridge allows it to connect or pass through the system's cartridge dustcover flaps. All regions have the same connectors, and region-locked cartridges will fit into the other regions' systems by using a cartridge converter or by simply removing the cartridge's casing. However, the systems are also equipped with lockout chips that will only allow them to play their appropriate games. Both Japanese and North American systems have the same NTSC lockout, and Europe has a PAL lockout. A bypass device such as the N64 Passport or the Datel Action Replay can be us ...

Dreamcast Games
The is a home video game console developed and sold by Sega. The first of the sixth generation of video game consoles, it was released in Japan on November 27, 1998, in North America on September 9, 1999, and in Europe on October 14, 1999. The fifth and final home console produced by Sega, the Dreamcast is the successor to the Sega Saturn, whose commercial failure prompted the company to release it only four years after its predecessor's initial release. All licensed games for the Dreamcast were released on the GD-ROM format, a proprietary CD-based optical disc format jointly developed by Sega and Yamaha Corporation that was capable of storing up to 1 GB of data. The Dreamcast itself features regional lockout, only playing games released within its predetermined region; however, the lockout is circumventable via modchip installation, boot discs, or cheat discs such as Datel's Action Replay. However, the aforementioned circumventions will only work on a MIL-CD compatible conso ...

Compile (company) Games
In computing, a compiler is a computer program that translates computer code written in one programming language (the ''source'' language) into another language (the ''target'' language). The name "compiler" is primarily used for programs that translate source code from a high-level programming language to a low-level programming language (e.g. assembly language, object code, or machine code) to create an executable program. Compilers: Principles, Techniques, and Tools by Alfred V. Aho, Ravi Sethi, Jeffrey D. Ullman - Second Edition, 2007 There are many different types of compilers which produce output in different useful forms. A ''cross-compiler'' produces code for a different CPU or operating system than the one on which the cross-compiler itself runs. A ''bootstrap compiler'' is often a temporary compiler, used for compiling a more permanent or better optimised compiler for a language. Related software include, a program that translates from a low-level language to a ...
