Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam Football Club ( en, Public Services Commission Football Club) or commonly known as SPA FC is a football club from Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Malaysia. The team formerly plays in the Premier League, the second tier of Malaysian football league. In 2015, the club has pulled from the league for financial reasons. History Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam Football Club or SPA FC was founded and started as a recreational club for the staffs of the Malaysian Public Services Commission (Malay:''Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam Malaysia''). The club, affiliated with Kuala Lumpur FA, started by competing the KLFA Second Division League in 2005. Promoted to KLFA First Division in 2007, they continued their ascent in the Kuala Lumpur football pyramid when they were promoted to KLFA Premier League in 2009. The Petaling Jaya Stadium, also known as the MBPJ Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in the suburb of Kelana Jaya in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. The 2012 Malaysia FA Cup, also known as the Astro Piala FA due to the competition's sponsorship by Astro Arena, was the 23rd season of the Malaysia FA Cup, a knockout competition for Malaysia's state football association and clubs. Terengganu FA were the defending champions. The cup winner qualified for the 2013 AFC Cup. Format Several changes have been made to the competition for 2012. The number of participating teams was increased from 30 to 32 and because of this, the defending champions and runners up in the first round would not receive byes as in previous seasons.
