Purple Line (song)
"Purple Line" is Tohoshinki's 16th Japanese single, written by the Korean composer who made Tohoshinki's biggest hits in Korea such as " Rising Sun" and " "O"-Jung.Ban.Hap." It became Tohoshinki's first Japanese single to reach #1 on the Oricon Weekly sales chart in Japan, making the group the first foreign male group or boyband to top the Japanese charts and second Korean artist after BoA to do so. "Purple Line" was Tohoshinki's first single that was originally released in Japanese and later released in Korean as a single. According to the members, the name "Purple Line" refers to the thin rays of light on horizon when the sun sets. Despite being the first #1 single from Tohoshinki, it is not their strongest single in terms of physical sales, with "Break Out!" having the biggest lead in Japan. ''Music Bank'' (; RR: ''Myujikbaengkeu'') is a South Korean music program which airs every Friday at 17:00 KST on KBS2. As of 2015, the show is also broadcast in more than a hundred countries through KBS World. Episodes are filmed at the KBS New Wing Open Hall in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu. The show also organizes the global live concert ''Music Bank World Tour''. "Break Out!" is a Japanese-language song by Tohoshinki. It was the group's 29th Japanese single, released in Japan on January 27, 2010 by Avex Group's sublabel Rhythm Zone. It was later included in their first Japanese compilation album, ''Best Selection 2010''. It was used as the drama ''Tomehane! Suzuri Kōkō Shodōbu''s theme song. The single debuted on top of the Oricon daily chart with 169,842 copies sold. Altogether it sold 255,917 copies, topping the monthly chart as well, first time in the band's history. ''Rising Sun'' is the second Korean-language studio album by South Korean boy group TVXQ, released on through SM Entertainment on September 12, 2005. Musicians including Yoo Young-jin, Kenzie, Hwang Sung Je and All-4-One's Jamie Jones took part in the album's songwriting and production. The record yielded the singles "Rising Sun" and "Tonight", with both tracks having accompanying music videos. Commercially, ''Rising Sun'' experienced success in South Korea. It was the fourth best-selling album in South Korea during 2005, selling over 222,000 copies. As of July 2012, the album has sold over 290,000 copies in the country.
