Puri Jagannadh
Petla "Puri" Jagannadh (born 28 September 1966) is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer, who works primarily in the Telugu film Industry. He made his directorial debut with the Telugu film '' Badri'' starring Pawan Kalyan, Renu Desai and Ameesha Patel. In 2006, he directed the Telugu film ''Pokiri'', premiered at the 7th IIFA Film Festival held in Dubai. The film was later re-made into several Indian languages, and brought Puri widespread Indian recognition. He made his Hindi film debut in 2004, with the film '' Shart: The Challenge''. In 2011, he directed the Hindi film '' Bbuddah... Hoga Terra Baap'' starring Amitabh Bachchan, which was archived in the Oscar library. He also produces films under his co-owned production companies, Puri Jagannadh Touring Talkies, Vaishno Academy and Puri Connects in partnership with actress Charmme Kaur. Pithapuram
Pithapuram, historically known as Pittapore, is a town and a municipality in the Kakinada district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The town also forms a part of Godavari Urban Development Authority. The town is home to one of the eighteen Maha Sakthi Peethas, which are significant shrines and pilgrimage destinations in Shaktism. Sripada Sri Vallabha, a prominent Hindu saint of 14th century was born and lived in Pithapuram. ''Sivamani'' is a 2003 Indian Telugu-language romantic action film written, directed and produced by Puri Jagannadh on Vaishno Academy banner. The film stars Nagarjuna Akkineni, Rakshitha, Asin and Prakash Raj. It has music composed by Chakri. A part of the story has been taken from the movie ''Message in a Bottle'' released in 1999 which in turn was inspired by ''Message in a Bottle'' - the Nicholas Sparks novel. Plot Pallavi, a newspaper editor, finds a mysterious, intriguing, and typed love letter in a bottle in the seashore. She is fascinated by it and shows it to her colleagues. ''Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi'' () is a 2003 Indian Telugu-language sports drama film directed by Puri Jagannadh. ''Appu'' is a 2002 Indian Kannada-language romantic action comedy film directed by Puri Jagannadh. It stars Puneeth Rajkumar and Rakshita. The supporting cast features Avinash, Srinivasa Murthy and Sumithra. The film was produced by Puneeth's mother, Parvathamma under Poornima Enterprises, the production banner of the Rajkumar family. It marked the screen debut Puneeth and Rakshita in lead roles. Up on theatrical release on 26 April 2002, the film was a success and completed a 200-day run in theatres. ''Itlu Sravani Subramanyam'' ( Regards, Sravani and Subramanyam) is a 2001 Indian Telugu-language romantic drama film written and directed by Puri Jagannadh. This film stars Ravi Teja, Tanu Roy and Sheen (the latter two make their debut). The plot follows two strangers who desire to unite following a suicide attempt. The music was composed by Chakri with cinematography by K. Dutt and editing by Marthand K. Venkatesh. The film released on 14 September 2001 and was successful at the box office.
