Franco Rossi (director)
Franco Rossi (19 April 1919, Florence – 5 June 2000, Rome) was an Italian film screenwriter and director, mainly known for having directed the six-hour Italian-German-British-Swiss TV mini-series '' Quo Vadis?'' in 1985. Biography Rossi was born in Florence, Italy. He studied law and then began to work on theatre. He was assistant director of Mario Camerini, Luis Trenker, Renato Castellani, Aldo Vergano. Rossi made his debut as a director with the crime thriller ''I Falsari''. He went on to have his first success with ''Il seduttore'', starring by Alberto Sordi, and among Rossi's other films were ''The Woman in the Painting'' (''Amici per la pelle'', 1955), ''Odissea Nuda'' (1961), ''Three Nights of Love'' (1964), an episode of ''Le bambole'' (1965), and ''Porgi l'altra guancia'' with Bud Spencer in (1974). Ornella Muti (born Francesca Romana Rivelli; 9 March 1955) is an Italian actress. She made her film debut as Francesca Cimarosa in the 1970 film ''La moglie più bella.'' Lou Castel (born Ulv Quarzell; 28 May 1943) is a Swedish actor who became known through his work in Italian films. Life and career The son of a Swedish father and an Irish mother, Castel was born Ulv Quarzell in Bogotá, Colombia, where his father was working as a diplomat. He and his twin brother grew up in Cartagena. When Castel was 6, his parents separated. He followed his mother to Europe and went to school in London, briefly at Dartington Hall School with his sister Solveig, then in Stockholm. He subsequently went to live in Rome where his mother was working in the local film industry. A communist, Castel's mother also introduced her son to politics. Armando Bandini
Armando Bandini (born Armando Burlando; 5 June 1926 – 27 May 2011) was an Italian film, television and voice actor. Biography Born in Genoa, Bandini began his career as an actor after the war at the Teatro Sperimentale Luigi Pirandello. In the 1950s he moved to Rome, where he was protagonist of the revue ''Il dente senza giudizio'' and started working in films and on television. Bandini even worked as a voice dubber. He performed the Italian voices of some major Hollywood stars in at least one of two of their films. Among his most prominent dubbing roles, he was the Italian voice of Chi-Fu in the 1998 animated film ''Mulan''. Personal life In the late 1940s, Bandini married stage actress Emma Fedeli and they were together until her death in 1980. He then married actress Daniela Igliozzi.
