Puranchaur
Puranchaur (Nepali: पुरन्चाैर) is a former Village Development Committee in Kaski District in the Gandaki Province of northern-central Nepal. It is now annexed to Pokhara metropolitan city, and is ward no. 19 of it. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 3,597 persons living in 865 individual households. Recently, an agriculture college named Natural Resource Management College has been established in 2015. This college is affiliated under Agriculture and Forestry University, and is the first affiliated college of the university. Location Puranchaur is situated to the north of Lamachaur and Hemja, both of which are also the wards of Pokhara. Seti Gandaki river, to its south, separates Puranchaur from Hemja. The Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU) ( ne, कृषि तथा वन विश्वविद्यालय) is a public agricultural university with central offices in Rampur, Chitwan, Nepal. It was created by the Parliament of Nepal through a bill passed in June 2010 merging two constituent campuses of Tribhuvan University: the Rampur Agriculture Campus of the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science and the Forestry Campus, Hetauda of the Institute of Forestry in Hetauda, Makwanpur. Kaski District
Kaski District ( ne, कास्की जिल्ला, ), a part of Gandaki Province, is one of the seventy-seven districts of Nepal. The name is disambiguated from Kaskikot, the ancient Kaski Kingdom. Gandaki Province ( ne, गण्डकी प्रदेश ) ), is one of the seven federal provinces established by the current constitution of Nepal which was promulgated on 20 September 2015. Pokhara is the province's capital city. It borders the Tibet Autonomous Region of China to the north, Bagmati Province to the east, Karnali Province to the west, and Lumbini Province and Bihar of India to the south. The total area of the province is 21,504 km2 - about 14.57% of the country's total area. According to the latest census, the population of the province was 2,403,757. There are seven provinces and 77 districts in Nepal. Nepal Standard Time (NPT) is the time zone for Nepal.
