Punktfestivalen
Punkt International Music Festival or Punktfestivalen has been held every year in Kristiansand, Norway since 2005. Biography Punktfestivalen was established by the musicians Jan Bang and Erik Honoré. They have collaborated from 1980, with the specialty of Bang's live sampling and programming and Honoré's abilities as musician, producer and author. The main objective of the festival is to present experimental music from all over the world and provide innovative musicians an opportunity to share common experiences. Punktfestival in 2008 included musicians like Gavin Bryars, J. Peter Schwalm, Nik Bärtsch and Jon Hassell. David Sylvian visited the 2013 version of the Punktfestival. In 2014 Laurie Anderson appeared. Eivind Aarset
Eivind Aarset (born 23 March 1961) is a Norwegian guitarist who has worked with Ray Charles, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Ute Lemper, Ketil Bjørnstad, Andy Sheppard, Mike Mainieri, Arild Andersen, Abraham Laboriel, Dhafer Youssef, Django Bates, and Nils Petter Molvaer. Aarset is married to Norwegian singer Anne-Marie Giørtz. Biography Aarset has worked with Nils Petter Molvær, Bill Laswell, Jon Hassell, Jan Garbarek, David Sylvian, and Marilyn Mazur. After several albums for Jazzland, he recorded ''Dream Logic'' for ECM (2012), collaborating with Jan Bang and Erik Honoré on the production and timbral design of melodies and soundscapes. His style has been associated with nu jazz and electronic music. Jan Bang
Jan Bang (born 21 August 1968) is a Norwegian musician and record producer who has worked with Morten Harket, Sidsel Endresen, David Sylvian, Nils Petter Molvær, Arild Andersen, Bugge Wesseltoft, Arve Henriksen, and Erik Honoré. (in Norwegian) Career Bang played with Erik Honoré in "Woodlands" ( EP, 1988), and they have released two albums (2000, 2001). He has also contributed to albums with Bertine Zetlitz, Bel Canto, and has written music for the film ''Ballen i øyet'' (2000). In recent years he has played with Dhafer Youssef, and in 2004 he received the Gammleng Award i klassen studio, and together with musician colleague, Erik Honoré, he initiated "Punktfestivalen" in 2005. Kristiansand is a seaside resort city and municipality in Agder county, Norway. Håkon Games Kornstad (born 5 April 1977 in Oslo, Norway) is a Norwegian jazz musician (tenor saxophone, bass saxophone, flute and live looping) and classically trained singer (tenor), known from bands such as Wibutee and Kornstad Trio, and collaborations with musicians such as Ketil Bjørnstad, Anja Garbarek, Live Maria Roggen, Bugge Wesseltoft, Sidsel Endresen, Paal Nilssen-Love, Mats Eilertsen, Knut Reiersrud, Jon Christensen, Eivind Aarset, and Pat Metheny. Career Kornstad was educated in the Jazz Program at Trondheim Musikkonservatorium. During his studies he founded the jazz trio Triangle, together with Per Zanussi (bass) and Wetle Holte (drums). Later, Erlend Skomsvoll (piano) and Live Maria Roggen (vocals) joined the band, and this lineup evolved to become the band Wibutee (1998).
