Pulse
In medicine, a pulse represents the tactile arterial palpation of the cardiac cycle (heartbeat) by trained fingertips. The pulse may be palpated in any place that allows an artery to be compressed near the surface of the body, such as at the neck ( carotid artery), wrist (radial artery), at the groin (femoral artery), behind the knee (popliteal artery), near the ankle joint (posterior tibial artery), and on foot (dorsalis pedis artery). Pulse (or the count of arterial pulse per minute) is equivalent to measuring the heart rate. The heart rate can also be measured by listening to the heart beat by auscultation, traditionally using a stethoscope and counting it for a minute. WEMJ (1490 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a news/talk format. Licensed to Laconia, New Hampshire, United States, the station is owned by Binnie Media and licensed to WBIN Media Co., Inc. WEMJ features programming from ABC News Radio. WEMJ is known on-air as ''107.3 WEMJ'' (after its translator frequency). It is part of the "Pulse of NH" trimulcast with 107.7 WTPL in the Manchester market and 98.1 WTSN in the Seacoast Region. KVIT is an FM radio station broadcasting on 88.7 FM, licensed in Chandler, Arizona, United States. KVIT is licensed to the East Valley Institute of Technology. Its studios are located at EVIT's main facilities in Mesa, while the transmitter is to the south near Maricopa. The station is branded as The Pulse. Pulse Radio is the official radio station of the London School of Economics and Political Science Students' Union. Its studios are located within the Saw Swee Hock Student Centre at the School's Aldwych campus in Westminster, London and it broadcasts online through the Pulse Player, as well as across campus in the Students' Union. Pulse forms part of the LSESU Media Group alongside '' The Beaver'' newspaper, Clare Market Review and LooSE TV. The station is managed by an elected Executive Committee, which is a subsidiary of the Union, and is headed by the Station Manager. It is staffed by student volunteers who act as Disc jockeys, technicians, and producers, and is funded by the LSESU, advertising revenue, and donations.
