Puk Schaufuss
Puk Schaufuss (born Liselotte Schaufuss 15 September 1943 in Copenhagen) is a Danish actress. She was educated at the acting school of the Royal Danish Theatre in 1965, among her fellow students were Jesper Langberg. She was a part of the ensemble of the Royal Theatre until 1990. Her debut was as Agnete in Elverhøj. She was married to the actor and entertainer Preben Uglebjerg, their marriage lasted one year until his death in 1968. Among her best-known film roles are her appearances in the Morten Korch screen adaptations ''Der brænder en ild'' (A fire is burning) and ''De røde heste'' (The red horses), and in the Danish soap opera ' (White lies). Her parents were ballet master Frank Schaufuss and solo dancer Mona Vangsaae. Her brother is ballet dancer Peter Schaufuss. Royal Danish Theatre
The Royal Danish Theatre (RDT, Danish: ') is both the national Danish performing arts institution and a name used to refer to its old purpose-built venue from 1874 located on Kongens Nytorv in Copenhagen. The theatre was founded in 1748, first serving as the theatre of the king, and then as the theatre of the country. Jesper Langberg (20 October 1940 – 29 June 2019) was a Danish film actor. He appeared in more than 50 films. Biography He was born in Frederiksberg, Denmark. He was the son of actor Sigurd Langberg and younger brother of actor Ebbe Langberg. He received the Bodil Award three times: in 1968 as Best Actor for his role in Sådan er de alle, in 1994 as Best Supporting Actor for Det forsømte forår and in 2014 for the Honorary Career Award. ''Elves' Hill'' ( da, Elverhøj) is a comedy by Johan Ludvig Heiberg, with overture and incidental music by Friedrich Kuhlau (Op. 100), which is considered the first Danish national play. History ''Elves' Hill'' was commissioned by Frederik VI for the wedding of his daughter Vilhelmine Marie and Frederik Carl Christian (later Frederik VII) and premiered on 6 November 1828, 5 days after the wedding. Since the premiere, the play has been performed more than 1,000 times at the Royal Danish Theatre. Story The work incorporated both the texts and melodies of two traditional ballad pieces featuring folklore about the Elven king. Heiberg localized the legend of the Elven king to Stevns. To these, the motif element of the swapped children was added. King Christian IV is cast as a sort of detective, who unravels the mystery. Morten Korch
Morten Luther Gudmund Korch (1876–1954) was a Danish writer who wrote populist stories and romances about rural Denmark. During his lifetime, he was the most widely read author in Denmark. Korch wrote 123 novels, several of which were made into popular films. In 1937, Korch was awarded a Danish knighthood in the Order of Dannebrog. Mona Vangsaae
Mona Elly Hou Vangsaae (24 April 1920 – 17 May 1983) was a Danish ballet dancer, choreographer and instructor. At the Royal Danish Theatre, thanks to her excellent technique and dramatic versatility she became a soloist in 1942, taking roles in Bournonville's productions and in works by the Danish choreographers Nini Theilade and Harald Lander. The roles of Julie in Frederick Ashton's ''Romeo and Juliet'' and Aili in Birgit Cullberg's ''The Moon Reindeer'' were created for her. Peter Schaufuss (born 1949 in Copenhagen, Denmark) is a Danish ballet dancer, director and choreographer. Biography He is the son of ballet dancers Frank Schaufuss (1921–1997) and Mona Vangsaae (1920–1983). Schaufuss trained at the Royal Danish Ballet School from age seven, and then joined the Royal Danish Ballet. He was artistic director of the English National Ballet 1984 to 1990, and Berlin Ballet from 1990 to 1994. From 1994 to 1995, he was artistic director of the Royal Danish Ballet.
