Puerto Rico Municipal Police
The Puerto Rico municipal police is the group of local police forces of the different municipalities of Puerto Rico. Each municipal police operates independently and autonomously from one another with the mayor of the respective municipality being its commander-in-chief. As a whole, the forces do not constitute a body and are not required by law to do so. The different municipal forces were created bLaw No. 19 of 1977 Vehicles used by municipal police can usually be differentiated by their having blue and green flashing lights. Police Force
The police are a constituted body of persons empowered by a state, with the aim to enforce the law, to ensure the safety, health and possessions of citizens, and to prevent crime and civil disorder. Their lawful powers include arrest and the use of force legitimized by the state via the monopoly on violence. The term is most commonly associated with the police forces of a sovereign state that are authorized to exercise the police power of that state within a defined legal or territorial area of responsibility. Caguas Municipal Police
Caguas (, ) is a city and municipality of Puerto Rico located in the Central Mountain Range of Puerto Rico, south of San Juan and Trujillo Alto, west of Gurabo and San Lorenzo, and east of Aguas Buenas, Cidra, and Cayey. Caguas was founded in 1775. The municipality had a population of 127,244 at the 2020 census. Caguas is located from San Juan. Dorado Municipal Police
Dorado () is a constellation in the southern sky. It was named in the late 16th century and is now one of the 88 modern constellations. Its name refers to the dolphinfish (''Coryphaena hippurus''), which is known as ''dorado'' in Spanish, although it has also been depicted as a swordfish.
