Puerto Rico Senatorial District VII, also known as the Senatorial District of Humacao, is one of the eight senatorial districts of Puerto Rico. Río Grande, Puerto Rico
Río Grande () is a town and municipality of Puerto Rico located on the eastern edge of the Northern Coastal Valley, north of Las Piedras, Naguabo and Ceiba; east of Loíza and Canóvanas and west of Luquillo. Río Grande is spread over eight barrios and Río Grande Pueblo (the downtown area and the administrative center of the city). It is part of the San Juan-Caguas-Guaynabo Metropolitan Statistical Area. José Ramón Díaz Hernández (born January 6, 1973) is a Puerto Rican politician and Senator. Díaz has been a member of the Senate of Puerto Rico since 2008. Early years and studies José Ramón Díaz Hernández was born on January 6, 1973 in Caguas, Puerto Rico. His parents are José Ramón Díaz and Iris Hernández. Jorge Suárez Cáceres (born August 24, 1976, in Fajardo, Puerto Rico) is a Puerto Rican politician and senator. He has been a member of the Senate of Puerto Rico since 2006. The 2012 Puerto Rican general elections were held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 to elect the officials of the Puerto Rican government that would serve for the next four years, most notably the Governor of Puerto Rico. A status referendum was held on the same date. The election was won by then-Senator Alejandro García Padilla (from the Popular Democratic Party), who defeated incumbent Governor Luis Fortuño (from the New Progressive Party) in a close election.
