Puerto Rico Public–Private Partnerships Authority
The Puerto Rico Public–Private Partnerships Authority (P3A) ( es, Autoridad para las Alianzas Público Privadas de Puerto Rico (APPP)) is a government-owned corporation of Puerto Rico created in order to regulate public–private partnerships (PPP) in Puerto Rico. It is a PPP unit whose responsibilities include promotion and assessment of public-private partnerships, as well as consultancy on PPP projects. Its organic law was enacted by the 15th Legislative Assembly and signed into law by Governor Luis Fortuño. Executive Branch Of The Government Of Puerto Rico
The executive branch of the government of Puerto Rico is responsible for executing the laws of Puerto Rico, as well as causing them to be executed. Article IV of the Constitution of Puerto Rico vests the executive power on the Governor—whom by its nature forms the executive branch. The Constitution also establishes that the Secretary of State should serve as acting governor when the Governor is unable to perform his duties. The Secretary of State, therefore, performs an equivalent role to that of a Lieutenant Governor in United States politics. The Puerto Rico Chief of Staff is second-in-command and manages and oversees all executive departments and almost all executive agencies. Thomas Rivera Schatz (born June 10, 1966) is a Puerto Rican politician, legal advisor, attorney, and former prosecutor, who was the fourteenth and sixteenth President of the Senate of Puerto Rico. He is affiliated with New Progressive Party of Puerto Rico (abbr. PNP in Spanish) and the mainland Republican Party. Kenneth Davison McClintock-Hernández (born January 19, 1957) is a politician who served as the twenty-second Secretary of State of Puerto Rico, one of the four longest serving in that post. Jenniffer Aydin González Colón (born August 5, 1976) is a Puerto Rican politician who serves as the 20th Resident Commissioner of Puerto Rico. González has served in leadership positions in the New Progressive Party of Puerto Rico (PNP) and in the Republican Party of the United States.
