Puebla De Sanabria
Puebla de Sanabria (; ) is a small town located in the north-western part of the province of Zamora in Spain, between the rivers Tera and Castro. It is the economic and political centre of the ''comarca'' of Sanabria. History Well known as one of the oldest settlements in the province of Zamora, its roots could get to be documented around year 509 where it appears in a record from the Council of Lugo. Some authors have the opinion that the information here found refers to the whole region instead referring only to the town. More accurate documentation can be found around the 10th century in which existed as "urbe Senabrie" indicated as organization center for its surrounding area. Lago De Sanabria
Sanabria Lake ( es, Lago de Sanabria, ; ) is a lake located 8 km to the northwest of Puebla de Sanabria in the province of Zamora, Spain. It is one of the very few sizable natural lakes in Spain. With a surface of 368 hectares it is also the largest glacial lake in the Iberian Peninsula. The main inflow and outflow of water from the lake is the river Tera. The lake is a widening of the Tera. Jesús Requejo San Román
Jesús Requejo y San Román (22 February 1880 - 16 August 1936) was a Spanish Catholic militant, theorist of society and politician; the Catholic Church declared him a martyr and a candidate for sainthood. He was locally known in the provinces of Zamora and Toledo for his activity in education, charity and agrarian syndicalism. His key work, ''Principios de Orientación Social'', made some moderate impact among Spanish Catholic intellectuals of the mid-1930s. Politically he evolved from centre-left to extreme right: initially Requejo supported the Romanonista dynastic Liberalism, then he turned towards accidentalist Acción Católica, and finally he joined Carlism. Benavente, Zamora
Benavente is a town and municipality in the north of the province of Zamora , in the autonomous community Castile and León of Spain. It has about 20,000 inhabitants. Located north of the capital on an important communications hub, it was repopulated by King Ferdinand II of León, who also awarded it law-codes (a ''fuero'') in 1167.
